Phnom Penh to Siem Reap Destination Reviews

JE
We took the Bus from PP to Siem Reap. We arrived at the Bus station 40 minutes in advance to make sure that our seats are really confirmed. The ladies working there gave us our tickets and seat confirmations with a smile, so everything went well. There are also some seats to wait and a coffee shop, which looked very good. We started 20 minutes late and arrived 30 minutes late, but that’s absolutely okey. I was positively surprised by the ample leg room and comfort in the Bus. The driver was driving good, no loud music was played and I felt absolutely safe. Some people complain about that the Bus driver stopping multiple times to pick up locals on the way. Which I don’t think should be a negative point, because there are 2 official stops on the way for people to board the bus. The Bus had one unscheduled maintenance break at a mechanic shop, which took around 20 minutes. Also 12goasia sent us the seat confirmation 20 minutes after booking, which was really fast and I appreciated that a lot :)

Very comfortable seating. No usb port to charge your phone. The bus stops for a lunch break and the place serves delicious food.

We got a cabin on the floor with no light inside, and we had to share it , my friend is very tall so she didnt have space for her legs. The cabins on the top is more spaceious with light so be aware that you order a top cabin. We asked if we could change to a top one but the stewardess is the rudest person I met on my trip in Asia for 8 months, she declined it. You should learn your employees costumerservice especially that woman. There is no wifi. I took the same type off buss in Vietnam and they have wifi. And it says when you book it that the buss have WC but it don’t.

Good comfortable trip. We asked for seats together and got them from the operator. Directions to bus station indicated on PDF were accurate. You do have to check-in with the GiantIbis desk on arrival to get seat allocation. Contrary to what was advertised the bus did not have WiFi or power sockets. Ride was smooth, bus stopped 1.5 hours and 3 hours into the journey for 15 mins and 30 mins respectively. Arrival was on time despite leaving 10 mins late. Bus had reclining seats with ample leg space. Temperature was not too cold, occasionally a bit warm as we sat in the rear on top of the engine but this was not a problem for us.

Decent service! 45 minutes late leaving. They blamed traffic (LOL). But since we're on vacation time it doesn't matter. The driver was safe and the staff tool great care of us along the way. You even get to pre order lunch on the bus to speed up the process at the rest area.
