Korean Air Adds New Routes to Philippines, China to Its Portfolio

Korean Air has announced a launch of three new routes to China (NanjingZhangjiajie and Hangzhou) and one – to the Philippines, all to start in October.

The Incheon (South Korea)–Clark (Philippines) route will be operated on a daily bases. Also known as the Clark Freeport Zone, Clark is a redevelopment of a former US airbase located in the Pampanga province. Ideally located between Singapore, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong and Taiwan, Clark offers a range of activities and sights for the business and leisure travellers 

The launch of all the three routes to China are scheduled for the end of the month.

Incheon-Nanjing route will become operational on October, 27 with four flights a week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday. Hangzhou, the capital of China’s Zhejiang province, is the southern terminus of the ancient Grand Canal waterway, which originates in Beijing.

From October, 28, the airline will operate the Incheon-Zhangjiajie route three times a week – on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday and Incheon-Hangzhou route twice a week – on Monday and Friday. 

Zhangjiajie, a city in the northwest of China's Hunan province, is home to the famed Wulingyuan Scenic Area which became popular after it was featured in Avatar movie.

Nanjing, capital of China’s eastern Jiangsu province, is roughly 300km up the Yangtze River from the city of Shanghai. It was the national capital during part of the Ming dynasty. Many monuments and landmarks remain, including Zhonghua Gate (Gate of China), a preserved 14th-century section of the massive wall that contained the old city’s southern entrance.
