Vistara and SIA/SilkAir Codeshare Agreement Expanded

Singapore Airlines and the airline's regional subsidiary SilkAir expand their codeshare agreement with Vistara, an Indian full-service airline. The agreement now covers international routes, too.

Vistara's first international operations under the expanded codeshare agreement were launched on Tuesday, 6 Aug 2019. The airline now offers direct DelhiSingapore flights. Today, MumbaiSingapore flights will be added to Vistara's portfolio. Both routes will be operated with Boeing 737-800 aircraft.

SIA and SilkAir will also add nine new codeshare destinations within India to their route map, all operated by Vistara. Flights to Chandigarh, Dibrugarh, Jammu, Leh, Pune, Raipur, Ranchi, Siliguri and Srinagar will bring SIA's list of Indian destinations to 20. All codeshare SIA/SilkAir flights will be marked with a SQ designator code while Vistara will add its UK designator code to SIA/SilkAir-operated flights to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Cochin, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai and New Delhi.

For Vistara, Singapore Airlines and SilkAir are the first codeshare partners. This strategic partnership allows Vistara to provide their passengers a more seamless flying experience between India and destinations across Asia, Oceania and the United States.

Singapore Airlines, from their side, underline the importance of the codeshare agreement with Vistara that provides the airline's customers with more travel options to and from India.
