China Railway Chengdu Group Co. Ltd. has announced launch of a new high speed train route between Chengdu and Xiamen effective from January, 5th, 2019.

The route will link the cities of Chengdu, the capital of southwestern China's Sichuan province to Xiamen, a port city on China’s southeast coast in Fujian province via Chongqing and Wenzhou. Currently there are no high speed trains operating on this route.
