Ho Chi Minh City to Phnom Penh Destination Reviews

SL
Driver and especially the guy helping at the border were excellent, really helpful and went out of his way even if I had decided to arrange my own visa and I tried. Really an amazing guy! He still just shared with me where to go and I gave him an extra 5 dollars for that, even if I did everything myself. What was equally horrible was indian guy at the booking office in Ho Chi Min at the , and as I was dropped off at the wrong place by the Grab driver and while I tried to explain this to the lady, she didn't understand, and while being visibly upset, not at her, her Indian boss stormed out and took over the conversation rudely while telling me the visa is 40 dollars. I had read up on ChatGPT and it really isn't, not even something the bus assistant tries to claim. When he didn't get the money he tried to shame me and raised his voice and was really mean.

The bus was great, there was plenty of space between the seats and nice air conditioning. The helper on the bus helped us sorting out the visa on arrival at the border, he didn’t speak English but somebody in ho chi min explained the process before departure, recommend!

The bus was right on time! We made many stops on this trip which was nice so I could have cigarettes and get some snacks/food along the way. The bus driver did not speak english which was fine because the busboy on board did and was able to help us through the border crossing at Moc Bai/Bavet. The process was smooth and it was nice as I was the only one on the whole bus. Bathroom was very clean, probably because there was nobody on the bus to get it dirty. Definitely would recommend this bus company!

I rarely write reviews, but this service truly deserved it. Madam Sreynan made my journey from Ho Chi Minh to Phnom Penh exceptionally smooth and stress-free. She guided us quickly and efficiently across the border with no waiting or delays. The bus even made two additional unplanned stops to accommodate passengers who needed the restroom. The vehicle was clean, tidy, and the ride itself very comfortable. I can highly recommend Giant Ibis for anyone traveling this route.
