The two principal things which make travelling by van so attractive are a wide choice of destinations and affordable prices. Not all vans offer top comfort, enough legroom, or luggage space, but these two points compensate. Besides, it is always vans that launch new routes to emerging destinations paving the road to big bus operators if necessary or remaining the only means of transport to bring you there. Very often, vans offer faster service than big buses, more flexible timetable, and more readily adapt to travellers’ needs in the sense of schedule – if there is a temporary growth in demand due to long weekends or national holidays, vans add more vehicles to their daily fleet easier than other operators. Note though that sometimes vans operate from their own van stations or terminals or have a dedicated section in bigger bus terminals. Always check your van's departure and arrival point as it is not necessarily located at the main bus station.
KKP Transport is one of the operators to check if you are going to travel by van. They provide reliable van service and offer tickets with easy and secure online booking.

Some of the most popular routes on KKP Transport’s route map include but are not limited to:
Opposite to trains or bigger buses, vans rarely offer you a choice of ticket class. All the seats are the same – call it standard, VIP, or whatever. What can differ, though, is the type of the van itself. Some vans seat only 9-10 passengers. For travellers this means wider seats, more space, and a more comfortable trip. Vans which accommodate up to 15 passengers are also ok but be ready to sacrifice on space for your legs and elbows and very often – for your luggage, too. Sometimes it can be a good idea to buy two seats instead of one to ensure a more comfortable ride – yet it pays to check with the operator if they allow this on your route. Before you book your van ticket, read reviews on KKP Transport van service to see what to expect.
Travel by Van: Pros & Cons
Pros of VanTravel
Vans can be the only way to reach some of the most remote destinations, smaller towns or villages which are connected neither by big buses nor trains.
Vans can also take you to some islands connected with the mainland by large car ferries which do not take big buses but take vans on board, too.
Due to a smaller size compared to big buses, vans are more maneuverable on the road. It sometimes results in shorter travel time, especially if your destination is not far away.
While vans do have an official stop enroute, they can also get you off at a more convenient point – no need to go to the terminal, just ask your driver. Note that it is not always possible, but in many cases, they will cooperate. It can save you both time and money you would have otherwise spent getting off the terminal on foot or by taxi.
Cons of Van Travel
Vans accommodating more passengers may feel quite cramped. Expect limited space for your legs and elbows. Some vans limit the luggage for one ticket to one piece. If you have more bags, suitcases, or backpacks, you may be asked to buy a separate ticket for your luggage, which makes the trip twice as expensive.
Not all vans run on schedule. On certain routes, vans leave only when full. Do check it with your operator before buying your ticket, otherwise, you may end up waiting much longer than expected until the van fills up.
If there are more reckless drivers on any other means of transport than on vans, we are unaware of it. Some companies install speed control units on their vehicles, but it is not a rare case to hear this unit beeping the whole trip through with the driver not paying attention to it. Always remember to buckle your seatbelt while travelling by van. Though sometimes you will need to make an investigation to find out where your seatbelt is.
For those prone to motion sickness there is a good piece of advice: take your medicine half an hour before your van trip, especially if your route includes winding stretches. You are more likely to feel motion sick travelling by van than by bus.

Because of the trafic we arrived to late to the ferry. I had to pay another ferry by my own.
I would have expected, that the company brings the solution. Or refunds the extra costs.
It was clear and well known the the traffic conditions are so. The former days wasn't different

It was a lovely experience. The Ekkamai bus terminus was clean and easy to find from my hotel at Sukhumvit. We were just 5 passengers in all in the comfortable minibus that took us to the Ban Phe Pier in Rayong, then a speedboat to Koh Samet, which was also good! Thank you Thailand for managing it all so well despite the recent excessive rain situation in Bangkok.

I definitely recommend KKP transport! We left on time and arrived on time (even a bit earlier). The bus drivers drove secure and safe.
The bus driver crashed on the return journey back to bangkok, so we arrived later than expected.

The entire trip went absolutely smoothly from start to finish.
The bus was equipped with a great air conditioning system, making the ride very comfortable. Once we reached the pier, we transferred straight onto the boat without any waiting around. Everything was remarkably fast, and staff members were stationed everywhere to clearly point out where to go, so it was impossible to get lost. Every single part of the journey ran right on schedule.

The return trip with this company was a major letdown compared to the way there.
We had to leave the pier at 9:00 AM just to arrive at the station by 9:10 AM, only for the connecting bus to depart at 10:00 AM—a completely pointless 50-minute waste of time. To top it off, the bus itself was in terrible condition. The entire journey was filled with an annoying, constant squeaking from either the transmission or the suspension. At least we made it back safely.
The driver was on his phone. We arrived an hour later than scheduled- the ferry simply left an hour late. This app scams you into paying for a Covid insurance

We were late for 7 minutes because of horrible traffic, even though we came out 40 minutes earlier to be beforehand for the start of the trip, and we didnt have any opportunity to contact any support. So we had to buy new tickets and it turned out that to buy it at the ticket office is much chipper even with boat ticket included. And we didnt have to book any thing, because nobody was going there. You could at least give an opportunity to go on the next bus for free...

very comfortable journey. The bus arrived 35 minutes before the boat was ready so I was just waiting by the pier but it's better to be early than late! There wasn't much communication but it did the job and got me there safe. Small minivan so my tip is not to bring too much luggage. It has USB ports which was a nice touch.

All good, as the boat and bus were on time , and the bus driver does not speed in the high way.
To be noted that the speed boat involves a lot of shaking when it is windy.
Minibus seats are ok , not easy to sleep as in a big bus

There was too many changes from Ko Samet to Bangkok, and Tawan Agency didn't notify me. First the speedboat arrived 30 mins late. Nobody at the cashier recognized the name, then when it arrives there was no indicator either of 12go nor from Tawan Tour Agency. The boat supposedly to be called Theater but the right one was called Stellar. Then, in the port the guy there waiting didn't ask me or respond to my questions about the bus. I was very very very lucky to find a lady who helped me.

Our Bus was one hour delayed. They said it was because of an accident but we have arrived at 9 am, the bus was there, the driver was there but it wasn’t until 10:30 till we left (scheduled was 9:30) we arrived at Koh samet at 14:45. so more than 1,5 hour later than expected and our day was basically spent with traveling. The driver was also dropping some people of on the way which made the whole drive even longer. Would not book again!

It was very well organized. Once you find the counter you are lead to the bus, then at the pier you have to show your ticket at the ticket counter, they send you to the boat. The bus is okay, but the leg space is mini.

Gets you to where you need to be, even stops for toilet break. The only problem I had was they charged me for my bag. Upon booking my trip, I was aware that I could only bring 1 "big luggage" up to 20kg - and that's what I did. However, the driver assumed my bag weighed more. He did not even double check the weigh with a scale - he simply assumed!
He called the ticket lady over and she asked me for 100THB. Simply ridiculous.
The rest of the ride was nothing special, but quick and and cheap enough.

Ferry was a bit difficult to get onto. My case nearly ended up in the sea
The people at the harbour lied to me to try and get me onto the slow boat when I had paid for the speed boat and it said so on the ticket (in Thai and English) Had to wait 45 minutes for the bus to leave. Mini bus very comfy, speedboat cramped and smelt strongly of fuel.
Busy bus, driver stopped often appears to pick up his own stuff.

Row 4 (right side) on the minibus is much smaller than other seats. One person would easily fit into 1.5 seats on that row and the other person would only fit half the seat, yet the provider is selling that row as two seats. Extremely disappointed. Unfortunately those were the only seats available for us.
