About Chaokoh Travel Center
Company Information
Chaokoh Travel Center runs high-speed boat services to Koh Phi Phi from Phuket, Krabi, and Koh Lanta. Boats can accommodate anywhere from 250-550 passengers.
They also offer boat transfers to the pier from your hotel and you can also book hotel accommodation in Koh Phi Phi. Chaokho Travel Center are also part of a wider service that offers bus and train tickets to a variety of destinations around Thailand.

Chaokoh Travel Center runs high speed ferry services from Phuket to Koh Phi Phi, from Krabi to Koh Phi Phi, and from Koh Lanta to Koh Phi Phi.
Phuket–Koh Phi Phi
Tickets acost THB600 one wayand boats leave at 11 am and 3 pm. The journey takes around 1 hour and 30 minutes and does not include hotel or airport pick up. In opposite direction, there are also two departure a day: at 9am and 2pm, both docking at Rassada pier on Phuket.
Krabi–Koh Phi Phi
Tickets on this service are between THB450 and THB600. Boats leave Krabi at 10.30am and 3pm. The journey takes 1 hour and 30 minutes and does not include transfers or pick up services. From Koh Phi Phi to Krabi boats leave at 9am, 1.30pm and 3.30pm.
Koh Lanta– Koh Phi Phi
There are two daily boats from Koh Lanta to Koh Phi Phi – at 8am and 1pm heading back from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Lanta at 11.30am and 3pm. Tickets are THB450–THB600. The journey takes 1 hour and does not include transfers or pick up.
Pros
This is one of the fastest and easiest ways to get to Koh Phi Phi.

There is a range of add-ons such as hotel pick up and you can also book a hotel in Koh Phi Phi through Chaokoh Travel Center.

Cons
Boats do not run during storms or heavy rain.
Some boats are delayed in line with the tides.
There have been some reports of the air-conditioning not working on some boats.
Due to the high passenger to seat ratio the boats can feel a little cramped.
Keep in mind
It is imperative to print a paper copy of your ticket as copies of the PDF on a phone may not be accepted.
If possible leave time if you are travelling on to another destination as the boats can sometimes be delayed which means you may miss your connecting transport.

The overwhelming majority of travellers report easy and smooth journey with Chaokoh Travel Center with the major issue being luggage piled all together what makes it difficult to hunt for your own bag at the end of the journey.
Though occasional delays are sometimes reported, note that they can be due to the tide and not the fault of the company. Also, cancellations can happen due to stormy weather – be ready and have plan B in case it happens. Never ever plan short flight connections – you won’t be reimbursed the lost air-ticket.

Nicholas LStarted off a bit bad - van had not arrived and so called the number on 12go, and the woman had to check where the driver was. Driver ended up being 30 mins later than scheduled time - which would be fine if we weren’t fretting about somehow missing the van. The van kept on stopping at places, but not to pick up passengers? Then ended up getting dropped off at the pier, getting on the boat which was probably the best part. Snacks were available to buy.. Weird experience? Probably more like 2.5/5

Lauren TThe ferries from Ko Lanta to Phuket were great, we had to change in Phi Phi and it was all organised well. The organisation of being assigned mini buses was also great. However, the transfer to Patong was awful. The driver was the worst we had in Thailand. Constantly accelerating full speed and slamming on the brakes. He near crashed into the back of so many cars. He was too busy watching youtube and facebook videos than concentrating on the road. I think we were unlucky with our driver.

Inge SA nightmarish ride for me. My seat was nearly broken and it moved in very wide swings. The sea was bumpy, the captain seemed to be speeding because the boat was late and it was very very choppy. I got horribly sea sick. Worst part about these boats is no view of the horizon so it's like you're in a tin can being dragged through the waves.

Jonas SGood Option for people who prefer a Smooth but Slow Ferry over the bumpy speedboats. The ferry was Air conditioned but also had lots of space on deck .You may move freely on Board. The departure at 11am is the perfect time in my opinion if you need to check into a hotel or room on Ko Phi Phi. The ferry was fairly punctual.

However, we didn't know when exactly we would be picked up at our hotel (in the end it was 20 minutes later than booked), would be nice if this was communicated beforehand. I was planning to get a local bus from Rassada Pier to old town but the staff told me there was no buses running from the pier and that the taxis were very expensive. I bought a ticket for a shared minivan for 150 bht. Turns out an actual taxi would have been 100 bht and that there was in fact a local bus for 15 bht. This is not ok.
