Плюсы путешествия на автобусе
- Автобус – лучший вариант, чтобы добраться до локаций, которые не связаны жд веткой или авиасообщением. Автобусная сеть часто охватывает всю страну, а маршруты давно сформированы и обкатаны.
- В отличие от авиаперелетов и иногда – жд поездок приезжать на автостанцию сильно заранее необходимости нет. Регистрация, даже на международных автобусных рейсах, как правило, не занимает много времени. Допуски по багажу тоже весьма и весьма приятные, а если лимиты на вес багажа все-таки установлены, то доплата за перевес почти всегда совсем невысокая.
- Билеты на автобус обычно более доступны, чем билеты на самолет или скорый поезд. Разнообразие классов и тарифов ориентировано на любой кошелек. Самые дешевые варианты, возможно, не самый быстрый способ прибыть в пункт назначения, но свою работу автобусы в любом случае делают. На более длинных маршрутах есть либо туалеты в салоне, либо остановки, билет включает снеки, воду, иногда туалетные принадлежности, одеяла и прочие полезные и приятные вещи.
- Если вы готовы потратить чуть больше, то некоторые ВИПы по комфорту и обслуживанию могут вполне соперничать с бизнес-классом на самолетах: широкие мягкие раскладывающиеся кресла, одеяла, меньшее, по сравнению с обычными автобусами, число пассажиров и прочие бонусы очень скрашивают впечатления от поездки.
Минусы путешествия на автобусе
- Новые междугородние автобусные терминалы нередко расположены на окраине города у оживленных шоссе, чтобы автобусы не вставали в городские пробки. Для путешественника в этом не только плюс, но и минус. Добираться до таких терминалов бывает непросто или долго, плюс в некоторых локациях обслуживать терминалы разрешается не любому транспорту – т.е. даже некоторые службы такси туда не допускают. Как результат – спекулятивные цены на перевозку. Если нужно выезжать в часы-пик, не забывайте заложить дополнительное время на поездку.
- Автобус, наверное, вид транспорта, который наиболее подвержен задержкам и нарушению расписания – если сравнивать с самолетами или поездами. Причин может быть великое множество – от ДТП до ремонта дороги, объезда и т.д. Ситуация ухудшается в дни государственных праздников, длинные выходные, высокий сезон. Учитывайте этот момент и не планируйте коротких стыковок.
- Если вы планируете поездку по одному из наиболее востребованных маршрутов и/или в высокий сезон, стоит озаботиться заблаговременным бронированием билетов. Учитывайте, что просто прийти на автовокзал и уехать ближайшим рейсом возможно далеко не всегда: билеты вполне могут быть распроданы, так что планируйте заранее.

Anonymous - They asked us to pay 2 Euro (1 euro for each luggage that we placed at the bus) something which we did. Few stops later a Chinese couple enter the bus and they asked them to pay 3 Euro. They told them that they dont have cash and they didnt pay. - All passengers were having their belongings to empty seats and we have to asked them to remove them in order to find a free sit. We sat separately with my wife despite that the bus was half empty.

Anonymous Incredibly hot and uncomfortable ride with no AC. Got us to our destination early, left on time. AC wasn't working properly and it was a very hot day so the bus was a sauna. We were absolutely drenched in sweat. Easily the most uncomfortable and hot ride we've been on. Getting out the bus where there was fresh air was a huge relief. There was also no where to charge phones, which is usually available on such busses.

Anonymous The ride was comfortable and even though we got delayed in traffic, we arrived only a little late. The driver was courteous and efficient. He helped us load our heavy bags in the luggage hold. My wife and I had to sit separately because there were no pairs of seats left. Solo passengers should be more willing to move to allow couples to sit together. Maybe this is a cultural thing, but in our home country, solo passengers would move to allow couples to sit together. This seems like basic courtesy. Perhaps the bus drivers could do more to encourage solo passengers to do this.

Anonymous Buy online ticket is the best way. It is convenient to buy and check the bus online. The bus was late 15mins; the luggage fee is not included in the ticket price , it could be a surprise if someone not expecting to pay another sum of money after online payment.

Anonymous It's mini bus with not so comfortable seats. The front seats were blocked by bus conductor and no was allowed to sit there. Most of the rows were occupied with single seats and we(2 people)had to sit in last seat. Something under the side of last seat was broken and it was pricking.

Anonymous Not coming on time and extra charge for luggage. Arriving safe. I am not used for extra charging for each luggage. I travel a lot, mostly in Europe, I visited around 25 countries and I don't remember other bus company to charge extra for every luggage. Also, we were waiting with two children (2 and 5 years old) in the rain for about 30 minutes for the bus to come without getting any information for delay.

Anonymous We were in a car accident, a traffic queue, the ventilation system leaked water. 4 h delay. Nice driver, passengers with good mood, electrical outlet for mobile charge. Comfortable temperature and seats for a regular sized adult. The bus was about half an hour late for departement. Then we were in a car accident that delayed our trip with three more hours. Then we were in a long queue due to other accident outside that delayed us another hour. In the end the ventilation system started to leak water on my son and another four to five passengers.

Anonymous The driver didn't enter the Plitvice village as stated on the ticket. The driver drop me off one hour away of walking from the station in complete darkness and advised to get a taxi. The reason being an imaginary accident that happened on the road. Of course there was no accidents of any kind, and the road was clear all the way to Plitvice. It is against the law to drop off the passangers at the unknown locations. And I am not mentioning the safety aspects of this issue, as there was a continuous risk of being hit by cars passing by (there was no sidewalk of course on the national road). And I have not mentioned the horrible wheather conditions (fog and drizzle). I require immediate explanation of the situation, until I escalate the issue to relevant authorities. Thank you.

Anonymous A bus company to avoid! Firstly, the bus was late by around 35 minutes. Not sure whether it is normal in Croatia but the buses I rode before (other companies) were never that late. Second, the most horrible part is that they over sold tickets and the bus was too small for all passengers. One seat short and the bus does not have sufficient capacity for the baggages. Passengers were packed in the bus like a ghetto. Fresh air was luxury and I was almost blacked out. I could not understand at all that why they offered this bus for such a number of passengers. And I couldn’t understand either why I had to pay for this painful experience after my pleasant stay at Plitvice Lake. Third, the plastic cover of the sun roof dropped all in a sudden in front of me. Lucky that no one got hurt but it scared us, who were already in a very desperate situation. The poor maintained bus added pains to our already painful ride. I think the bus company does owe all passengers a proper apology. Never ride on their buses!

Tickets say some buses might charge an additional fee to store luggage in the hold but do not say how much that charge might be; the two bus journeys I took both charged €7 per item/bag but this should be stated clearly on the ticket.

Anonymous Travel was ok but driver not helpful at all!!! Bus was just ok. We asked for advice as there are different stops in Plitvice and the driver was quite rude, looked like we were bothering him, finally in Plitvice we followed his advice which was wrong (bus stop 2 instead of bus stop number 3..! Had to walk on the street for 20' with our luggages.!).

Anonymous No complaints. Air conditioning was sufficient. Seats were not bad quality. WC on board. No issues with drivers. Simple boarding process. My seat did not have a curtain with which to cover my window when the sun came out. It made part of my trip very bright and hot.

Anonymous Ride great, communication poor. The bus itself and ride itself were in fine working order and the price was reasonable for the experience. The communication was lacking: the bus was 20 minutes late, it was never made clear which bus we were to look for, and had uncertainty if I was at the correct waiting point which ultimately made waiting for and getting on the bus a stressful, anxious experience.

Anonymous Driver needs training. The scenery was nice. Driver wouldn't speak English, so we couldn't understand his orders. Rudely forced us to take large baggage onto bus and we had to put it between our legs. He was smoking and on his cell phone while driving, I know it's probably legal in Croatia but it's a proven fact that it isn't safe. He should be hands free while taking calls. He also just about left a passenger behind at a stop, if it wasn't for another passenger yelling at him he would have left.
