In tegenstelling tot treinen of grotere bussen kan je bij busjes zelden kiezen uit verschillende ticketklassen. Alle zitplaatsen zijn hetzelfde - noem het standaard, VIP of wat dan ook. Wat wel kan verschillen is het type busje zelf. Sommige busjes bieden slechts plaats aan 9-10 passagiers. Voor reizigers betekent dit bredere stoelen, meer ruimte en een comfortabelere reis. Minibusjes voor maximaal 15 passagiers zijn ook goed, maar wees bereid om beenruimte op te offeren en vaak ook ruimte voor je baggage. Soms kan het een goed idee zijn om twee stoelen in plaats van één te kopen voor een comfortabelere rit - maar het loont de moeite om bij de exploitant na te gaan of dit op je route is toegestaan.   • Busjes kunnen de enige manier zijn om sommige van de meest afgelegen bestemmingen te bereiken, kleinere steden of dorpen die niet verbonden zijn met grote bussen of treinen.

  • Hoewel busjes onderweg een officiële halte hebben, kunnen ze je ook op een meer geschikte plaats laten uitstappen - je hoeft niet naar de terminal te gaan, vraag het gewoon aan je chauffeur. Als je meer tassen, koffers of rugzakken hebt, kan je gevraagd worden een apart ticket te kopen voor je bagage, waardoor de reis twee keer zo duur wordt.
  • Niet alle busjes rijden op schema. Op bepaalde routes vertrekken de busjes alleen als ze vol zijn. Vraag dit na bij je vervoerder voordat je je ticket koopt, anders kan je veel langer dan verwacht moeten wachten tot het busje vol is.
  • Niet elke chauffeur houdt zich aan de verkeersregels. Sommige bedrijven installeren snelheidscontrole-eenheden op hun voertuigen, maar het komt niet zelden voor dat dit apparaat de hele rit piept terwijl de bestuurder er niet op let. Vergeet niet je veiligheidsgordel om te doen als je met een busje reist. Houd er wel rekening mee dat je soms goed moet zoeken om de veiligheidsgordel te vinden.
  • Voor wie gevoelig is voor reisziekte is er een goed advies: neem je medicijnen een half uur voor je reis met een minibusje in, vooral als je route bochtige stukken omvat. In een busje is de kans groter dat je je reisziek voelt dan in een bus.

The staff and the driver and the passenger are all very helpful and very good people Only issues there was one creepy guy at my back he did a lot of gesture i dunno if that was intentional or untentional but i just try to ignore it as long as nothing bad things and im safe its an experience of local way in riding a land transportation I feel like im in philippines 🍀 thanku its just my previous book last march wasnt able to have a refund because they dont have option my previous ride i couldnt make it because of dohas bombing situation ❤️

The bus was comfortable. Good leg room. Started the journey on time 13.00. Arrival time was supposed to be 20.30. The bus arrived into Alexandria at 00.30. 4 hours late. I know some of the delay was due to security which is good. But do bus drivers really need multiple half hour breaks during a supposed 7.5 hour bus ride on very good and mainly quiet roads?

I’m giving this rating mainly because of the kindness of the driver, who was attentive to us at all times and kept a great attitude. I would also like to highlight the gentleman at the café in the Luxor station, who was very friendly and made an effort to make us feel comfortable. I regret not knowing their names to mention them here, as they truly deserve recognition. I’m deducting one star due to the inaccurate information on the website and the change in our departure time, which ended up being 4 hours later than scheduled. According to Google Maps, the trip from Luxor to Sharm El-Sheikh takes at least 13 hours without stops, and with the mandatory checkpoints and rest breaks, it easily exceeds 16 hours — not the 10 hours stated on the website. This detail is very important because if you have activities planned upon arrival, there’s a high chance you might miss them. Overall, the trip is exhausting, but it also allows you to enjoy the stunning landscapes of the desert and the Sinai Peninsula.

We booked the bus service from Cairo Airport to Siwa at 3 a.m., but they sent us a taxi instead. We asked if it was possible to make the trip earlier, and without any problems, they met us at the gate at 1:30 a.m. We took the entire trip by taxi, and it was super fast.
