We kwamen aan, kregen via veel omwegen wat we geboekt hadden, maar met een vertraging van 3,5 uur, die zeker niet te wijten was aan files of iets dergelijks, maar aan een verkeerde organisatie, was het eigenlijk niet oké.

Over het algemeen was het een positieve ervaring. We hadden zoveel slechte recensies gelezen dat we op het ergste voorbereid waren. We namen de bus van Ninh Binh/Tam Coc naar Ha Giang. Het was niet de VIP Cabin sleeper waar we voor betaald hadden maar een normale sleeper, we waren teleurgesteld maar het was toch best comfortabel. Na 1 uur moesten we overstappen, we stopten aan de kant van de snelweg en stapten over in een vip cabine. Een behoorlijk intense ervaring om op de stoep van een snelweg te plassen aangezien er geen toilet in de bus is. We kwamen 2 uur eerder aan en blijkbaar gebeurt dit altijd. Over het algemeen was het rijden goed en niet te veel getoeter. Neem altijd de VIP-optie.

De rit was oké. De bus kwam 30 minuten te laat aan bij de opstapplaats en in totaal waren we 2 uur te laat. We werden tenminste direct bij ons hostel afgezet. De stoelen zijn comfortabel en we voelden ons veilig, ook al toeterde de vriendelijke chauffeur de hele rit.

We werden opgehaald bij ons hotel en ook weer afgezet bij ons hotel op de plaats van bestemming, wat geweldig was. We moesten wel vaak van busje wisselen en ik kan niet zeggen dat de chauffeurs helemaal veilig rijden, erg onnodig opdringerig op elk moment - maar dat lijkt deel uit te maken van de rijcultuur hier, dus misschien is het niet mogelijk om dat te voorkomen. We waren misschien 45 minuten te laat, dus niet slecht. Communicatie via whatsapp was snel en efficiënt!

De bus kwam 30 minuten te laat en deed er 2 uur langer over dan verwacht. Daarnaast werd ik afgezet bij een willekeurige bushalte op 40 minuten lopen van mijn hostel, terwijl er stond dat ik afgezet moest worden bij het hostel...

Easy to find options, find locations and purchase the ticket. Great communication from the bus company before boarding. Ability to be dropped at the hostel, simply asking the driver while on the way. Perfect service!

It was fine. But could have been a smoother experience. First, the location supplied suggests the pickup is at the travel shop, to which I arrived 45mins prior to pickup time. 20 minutes after the ‘departure’ time the people in the shop suddenly said I have should hop on the back of a bike with them (with my heavy luggage) to drive 2km to the actual bus stop. I was confused and not happy with this, and after me being stern (which I usually don’t have to be) they ordered a taxi for me which was very comfortable and honestly should have been the first solution. The bus was there to pick me up, but it did smell like urine. It felt like a local bus as no one spoke English or tried to properly communicate. Because of this I chose to not get off at the stops for break because at this point, I didn’t really understand what was going on and just hoping that I was going the right way. There were also numerous other random stops for what reason unknown. We then arrived 2.5 hours after the supposed drop off time. Besides these things, it was fine and I would do the trip again even on the same bus, but I’d choose a different organiser.

First experience for us in a night sleeping bus, it was very good. Trip from Ninh Binh to Ha Giang. Comfortable and clean, good drive (as it can be in Vietnam). They give water bottle. No people sleeping on the floor (as I read somewhere). Left us directly at the homestay. I recommend it.
