Talgo Train

Egyptian trains are horrible and having learnt this, the inability to cancel was very dissapointing, but consistant with corrupt rail employees requiring bribes etc

Bought the ticket for Talgo train second class. Was told to pickup the physical ticket 30mins before train departure. I got there and they didn’t have my ticket. The guy had to go buy a new ticket for a different train and a different time. Had no choice but to take the new train which took longer.

This was a very complex booking experience that involved lengthy consultations with local booking agents and delivery of hard copies of tickets to our hotel. I was not at all confident that we would get our tickets until the last moment and it took a lot of time and mental energy to sort things out.

The concierge was so helpful though I couldn’t Tip him as I don’t enough cash with me. Though the ticket is too expensive. I will not buy the Train ticket again.

The process to get a hard copy train tickets as electronic ones were not issued was confusing and a bit stressful.

2★ – Misleading and dishonest service Booking reference: BW4900416 I booked and paid about $75 on 12Go for what was clearly advertised as a Talgo train from Alexandria to Cairo. Talgo trains in Egypt are the new high-speed trains, which is exactly why I chose that option and paid a higher price. However, when I arrived at the station their representative handed me a ticket for train #88 instead — a regular, much slower train that costs about $40 and is NOT a Talgo service. So I paid almost double for a service that I did not receive. If the Talgo train was not available, the company should have informed me and refunded the difference instead of silently replacing it with a cheaper train. This experience feels misleading and very unprofessional. I cannot recommend 12Go and will avoid using them in the future.

they change my schedule, i have explain to police. because the reason im not sure, confusing, and third party i didnt read it!

I paid 176 Euro with you for 2 tickets instead of 103 dollar if I had bought directly and easily at the ticketing office.. That’s nearly double and I had to wait 2 hours and go through hassle to get to meet your agent to get the tickets. What a hassle and for too expensive!!

All was perfect. Our mandatory Mr Mohamed Ali is very kind and professionnal.

I booked online but I couldn't get the Tickets on my mobile. I had also to call which was first possible the next day. When we went to the station we had to get physical tickets. But it was not clear where we would get them. The Tourist Police charged us another 20 Pounds to get them

I was seating in a window seat but it was a part of the train that was covered so no sense of sitting there

Too expensive for the experiencie.
