Ventajas de Viajar en Furgoneta
- A veces, las furgonetas son el único medio para llegar a algunos de los lugares más remotos, a los pueblos pequeños, a las aldeas y a los lugares a los que no llegan los autobuses grandes y los trenes.
- En furgoneta puedes llegar a algunas de las islas servidas por ferris de gran tamaño. Estos no cargan a bordo autobuses grandes, pero, en cambio, si transportan furgonetas.
- Debido a su tamaño reducido, en comparación con los autobuses grandes, las furgonetas se mueven mejor por carretera. Esto reduce el tiempo de viaje en muchos casos, sobre todo si el destino no está muy lejos.
- Si bien las furgonetas tienen una parada oficial en cada ruta, también se pueden parar en puntos diferentes: no hace falta llegar hasta la terminal, basta pedirle al conductor que te deje en un sitio que te convenga. No siempre es posible, pero en muchos casos el conductor aceptará ayudarte. Así ahorrarás tiempo y dinero, que de otro modo usarías trasladándote a pie o en taxi desde la terminal.
Desventajas de Viajar en Furgoneta
- En las furgonetas que llevan bastantes pasajeros, puede que viajes un poco apretado. El espacio para piernas y codos no es muy amplio. Además, algunas furgonetas limitan el equipaje a una pieza por billete. Si llevas más bolsas, maletas o mochilas, puede que te pidan que compres un billete aparte para tu equipaje, y el precio del viaje será el doble.
- No todas las furgonetas circulan según el horario previsto. En algunas rutas, las furgonetas solo salen cuando están llenas. Consulta con tu operador antes de comprar el billete; de lo contrario, si la furgoneta no está llena, puedes terminar esperando mucho más de lo previsto.
- No sabemos si otros tipos de transporte cuentan con conductores más temerarios que los conductores de furgonetas. Algunas empresas instalan unidades de control de velocidad en sus vehículos, pero no es raro escuchar el pitido de esta unidad durante todo el viaje y que el conductor no le preste atención. Recuerda siempre abrochar tu cinturón de seguridad cuando viajes en furgoneta. Aunque a veces te tocará hacer una investigación a fondo para saber dónde está el cinturón de seguridad.
- Para quienes son propensos a marearse tenemos un buen consejo: tomar un medicamento media hora antes del viaje en furgoneta, sobre todo si la ruta incluye tramos con curvas. Es más probable marearse viajando en furgoneta que en autobús.

Ayme FÉramos 10 personas pero no fuimos demasiado incómodos. La van un poquito vieja. El conductor apenas decía lo mínimo, pero lo peor es cuando llegamos al punto desde donde salíamos para Railay, que nos atendió una señora muy desagradable que no quería ni indicarnos dónde estaba el pier para subir al long tail.

Carolina MHicimos el viaje nocturno en barco desde Koh Tao hasta Ao nang. Las coordenadas de donde se hace el check in del barco son erróneas, el barco es toda una experiencia que igual no es apta para todo el mundo (es un barco de carga con todo tipo de fauna aún que la macro habitación donde dormimos la comuna estaba decente). Hasta aquí bien, luego ya el barco tardó hora y media en salir (como es de carga estaba descargando mercancía), aún teniendo margen para llegar al destino vivimos caos con las furgonetas que nos llevaban (cambiamos de ellas dos veces). Llegamos dos horas tarde al destino final.

Leoniris LMi experiencia fue buena. Viajamos de Ao Nang a Surat Thani en Van y de ahí hasta el centro de Bangkok en un bus muy cómodo. Hubo paradas en ambos trayectos para ir baño y comprar algo. La comunicación con la agencia siempre fue buena, en especial durante la espera que se tiene entre la conexión van y bus. Lo recomiendo y volvería a viajar.

Molly RVery smooth, there was always someone there to guide you on where to go for the next mode of transport. Mini bus in surat thani stopped at a restaurant connected to the bus office. Meal was 80 baht. Bus was fine and managed to sleep most if the way.

Anais RThe pick up location is very wrong on the map. There’s no signage at all. I went to the wrong location where there was signage and was told I was in the wrong place. When I got to the right location, the place was closed. I received some messages and a phone call from a WhatsApp. I don’t know if was the driver or the owner, but they said ten minutes. We did not get picked up until after 7am. The van was not very clean or in good condition. I showed the driver my drop off and he tried to charge me more. I do not recommend this particular company at all!

Serge MI was at the appointement at 09h42 near the mac do. Departure 10h00. Nobody there. I was in worry. The taxis says it is the plac of 12 go. No error. I tried to contact the Platforms but i 've received only automatic answers. I was going to buy another ticket when it was 10h40/45. Then a van come. The man say, ils my compagny. The driver pick up others customers from their hôtels. I show my ticket, ge said it's ok . So i didn't buy another ticket. We move at 11h10 because two girls touristes were late. After that the travel was ok but at first very inconfortable.

McKenzi SThey didn’t even take us to Khao Sok. They took us to Ao Nang, Krabi and the in person operator charged us extra cash, with the promise that part of the trip will be refunded online since the trip was being rerouted. The extra cash was to apparently hire a different driver to take us to Ao Nang, because the roads were closed to Khao Sok. There was no refund; as we were told there would be an email arriving in our inbox later tonight for partial refund, but that email never arrived.

Pibbe VThey make you wait for over an hour at a random stop after arriving in Surat Thani and again in the middle of the night. Both stops are not at shops but small restaurants clearly linked to the bus company so they can extract more money from you. Other operators stop at 7/11 where you can actually buy things you might need and not for such long periods. We spend a lot of the night waiting, hoping the bus would leave soon. The employees treat you like sheep rather than people. The seats were also quite uncomfortable for overnight although it was nice they could recline and that there was charging points and good a/c. The a/c was turned off the last 30 minutes making the bus very hot and the charging ports didn't work during the night either.

Driss ABad transport overral. The workers in the Khao Sok station are rude and nonchalant. The van arrived more than half an hour late, and showed very angry and kind of verbally agressive for no reason. Arrived 40min late.
The driving was fine.
But I would defenetly not take this company again.

Richelle MThe ferry looks so awesome I never thought having nice ferry but the problem was if you have heavy luggage you need to lift by yourself. You will use stairs going up and going down. That's the down side and alot of transfer. No snacks or water offered compared to the bus operation they offer free dinner and snacks. The bus was big and spacious but the charging such as USB port /PD port/type C port was not working. Maybe in the future if you have those things. You will have more customers in the future. The bus driver was on time.5:30am we arrived in bangkok

Andrew HThe journey from Koh Samui to Bangkok is described as a ferry / boat trip, there is no mention at all of any other mode of travel. The journey is actually a ferry back to Shurat
thani, then a shuttle bus, then a mini bus and finally an overnight coach journey the length of Thailand back to Bangkok. Not what is advertised and not what we expected. Book with caution!
