Mostar to Kotor. Good bus and driver along with scenic route. The windows on one side of the bus were covered in a “film” which made them opaque and impossible to see the view on that side of the bus. Most disappointing.
Very comfortable trip from Sarajevo to Dubrovnik. Bus clean and in good repair. Courteous, careful bus driver. Several short stops along the route, including one at a nice place to have cofffe /snack. Organized crossing at Bosnia-Croatia border. All good.
The toilet door was locked. I boarded at Kotor, earlier riders occupied 2 seats. The outside scenery. The bus was very late, the driver taking the luggage was very rude. The toilet was locked. There is no WiFi on the bus. Many people were occupying 2 seats while only paid for one seat.
The bus arrived 2 hours late. The transport itself is in poor condition - broken seats, a broken toilet, and it's dirty. The carrier also charges 1 euro for each luggage (WTF?)
Hidden fees and driver altercation. Hidden fees that may be illegal? A euro to access the bus. Another euro to stow bags. I spent all my cash already. Told the driver I’d just take my backpack on the bus he said no and that I will not be allowed on the bus. Every other passenger had a backpack and was not required to pay. He repeatedly physically shoved me and my wife for attempting to get on the bus. The bus was oversold. People had to sit in the aisle. Some couldn’t get on. Traveling in over 50 countries this has been the worst bus ride I’ve ever taken.
The bus had 7 hours delay for a 7 hours drive. It’s unacceptable to be this late and not to give any informations to passengers. No excuses, no commercial gestures. Unbelievable to be this least professional.
Rude driver and late service. Bus was very clean. When loading/unloading bags, the bus driver was harassing my partner (Asian male) while ignoring all of the locals and white tourists. The driver’s behaviour was racist and disgusting.
Missed stop because of driver. The driver didn't announce the stop but simply went to the toilet and left again. I had to stay on the bus for one hour more until the next stop then pay for the return bus to my original destination.
Split transfer. Good scenery. Being charged extras for everything . €2.00 for each piece of luggage. €2.00 for platform charges access. €1.00 for toilet through a faulty entry machine. A driver who did not like to be asked questions and made no announcements in english.
The bus ride was okay. Nothing really special. The AC worked throughout the whole trip. Be prepared to pay 1-2 euros extra to place your luggage on hold. Also, ALWAYS print your e-ticket
Traveling.com doesn’t give you the info you need. The driver was good and patient- this company never tells you when there are extra fees. I don’t think we’ll book with traveling.com again. Extra 2.5 euros for the bus station fee, extra 1 euro for each bag. People need to know so that they can have cash ready. We were leaving a country that uses euros and going to one that doesn’t so we had none left. Had to run to get cash. - seats were broken, could only lie down not sit up - no notifications on it being 40 minutes late.
Late again. The driver was lovely and a very good driver. Having to keep stopping for toilet breaks as the toilets on all busses doesn't work so again we were 1.5 hrs late getting to our destination. The bus was very old and the whole ride shook our bones.
The challenge of traveling by bus in Montenegro does not lie with your company, but with the infrastructure you rely on. When booking tickets through Travelling.com, one gets the impression that the journey will be comfortable, punctual, and hassle-free. The challenges begin as soon as you encounter the first bus terminal. During our stay in Montenegro, my partner and I have traveled three times: from Tivat to Herceg Novi, and from Herceg Novi to Trebinje and back again. Every single time, we have experienced an incredibly unreliable public transport system. Poorly organized routes and schedules, illogical and complicated systems and rules, buses that frequently arrive late, and highly unhelpful and unfriendly staff are all part of the experience at Montenegrin bus stations. Examples of this include the requirement to print out tickets, even in cases where the ticket is marked as an e-ticket or mobile ticket, staff who have no idea about bus departures and who get frustrated when ask.
Drivers were friendly and drove smoothly and carefully but they didn't translate to English so i relied on passengers to know what was happening. The toilet was very dirty and left that way. The seat in front of me was very close which was uncomfortable on such a long drive.
A quarter of an hour late, so it was acceptable. Just a quarter of an hour late. The AC worked. Paying extra for luggage, rude drivers. No information about toilet and time for paus.
A LONG ride. it was cheap. the driver was not communicative about stops, or what to do at customs when we crossed the border to Bosnia. There was no toilet on board, and I had to wait a long time for a toilet stop (and then it was pretty grim). We arrived 40 minutes late at Mostar, despite good traffic conditions, but the driver made a stop for 30 mins somewhere else, which I don't think was scheduled. This meant I missed my chance to look around Mostar, and I was nearly too late to catch my connecting bus.
Huge improvement. The driver acted in a professional manner, drove safely and included a toilet break..unlike the awful trip from Zagreb to Sarajevo..which I reviewed recently. Lack of information and concern from bus station staff about late arrival of bus to Mostar.
Horrendous journey. The seats were comfortable and the journey was scenic. The drivers could do with customer service training. There was no concern for toilet needs..1 five minute toilet stop in a ten hour journey. We were told the toilet on the bus was "kaputt ". One of the co drivers stood next to the driver and showed him bits of paper and continuously talked to him. Meanwhile the driver was continuously on his phone and texting while driving at speed on winding wet roads. Communication with passengers was non existent..including when we were stuck at the border for hours.
I was unable to travel, the ticket was never issued. It didn't go well, I paid for something that I didn't receive, I didn't receive my travel ticket and I also didn't get a refund. Waiting for a solution to my problem. This is the second time I have purchased a ticket from getbybus and the ticket has not been issued. I have not received my refund. And now they want me to rate the trip as if they did not send me the ticket. It is not safe to buy from this site. Disappointed.
The driver shouldn't oblige to put bagpacks into bag place, it's a shame ! The ride respected the time of the trip, It was confortable. I have my bag in my back, when I traveled from Dubrovnik to Kotor or Kotor to Mostar, I wasn't obliged to put my bag into the bags place in the exterior because I have my own valuable things and I have the place to put It between my legs, yesterday It was Horrible ! I was the first to enter to the bus and I don't want to put my bag in the exterior place of the bus, the driver ignored me, and let me until all passengers enter the bus, and some passengers have the same size of bags in their back too. In the end he harassed me by letting me there if I didn't put my bag in the exterior and he closed the bag place and wanted to let me in Mostar if I didn't payed and he shouted on me in front of all people, It was a horrible experience !! In the end I was obliged to pay to let my bag there to arrive to Dubrovnik for my plane. But I was humilated by this bus driver. I want to adress him just one thing, don't oblige people to let their bags in the exterior place, and be kind to your customers.
There were no power outlets. Weak internet signal. Friendly drivers. There were no power outlets. Weak internet signal. Friendly drivers. There were no power outlets. Weak internet signal.
Drivers need to practice more safety. I arrived alive! The driver talking on his mobile phone while driving one handed around narrow windy roads. Having a passenger sit in the jump seat & talk to him, another dangerous distraction. Buses are always too warm(stuffy).
The cleanliness of the bus and the comfort of the seats were good. Despite the winding roads, our driver was very experienced. The driver was one of the rudest people I have ever seen in my life. He shouted warnings to many people, did not give any break warnings in English, and we could not understand how much time we had. During the last break, he took off to avoid waiting for a person who was going to the toilet, but with the insistence of the passengers, we barely persuaded him to wait. I hope he receives the necessary warnings and does not treat his passengers this way again. I don't think he stayed true to the break times, we stopped at each stop for almost 30-40 minutes and arrived in Kotor 1 hour late. He was always extremely rude to strangers, racist.
