Took the speedboat from Donsak to Koh Tao. Had to make a stop in Samui and Phangan, that was all fine. But in Phangan we had to switch boats and then it went wrong. They sold way to many tickets so many people had to stand up. Not a safe situation because of the rough weather. Many people vomited because they were not able to sit proparly.
We arrived half an hour before our original departure and was told there was an earlier ferry.
We were under the impression that this was a direct ferry but it wasn't. We had to deboard at Ko Phang Yang and wait around for what would have been our original ferry. We ended up arriving no earlier but getting on and off a ferry with laguage then being herded like cattle to waith at the dock was not needed, so always ask if there are changes to your itinerary and again its hard when in a foreign country.
It was good. A little confusion because getting tickets and badges additionally to tickets and reservation documents on the mobile and we had to show it several times to the staff, what always leads to a break while entering the ferry.
Seats at the vip area were fine, they gave us water and Internet. And the ferry reached the islands nearly in time. Approximately 20 minutes delay what was fine.
The staff were immediately providing copious amounts of sick bags whenever and wherever required! And that was pretty much everywhere and at all times! Not their fault it was rough but it sure was!
