Ich bin von Sapa bis Cat Ba fahren, allerdings musste ich in Hanoi umsteigen, nur leider war es schlecht geplant, da ich meinen nächsten Bus verpasst habe (obwohl sie 40min auf mich gewartet haben!)
ABER ich muss wirklich sagen, dass der Service von der Busgesellschaft wahnsinn war!Ich dachte schon, dass ich eine Nacht in Hanoi bleiben muss, weil es angeblich die letzte Fährd war, aber ich habe der Hotline geschrieben und sie haben für mich alles (kostenlos) organisiert - shuttle, privates taxi, fähre und nochmal privates taxi
Dafür war ich sehr dankbar.
(Nächstes mal aber etwas mehr Puffer einplanen und den Gästen kommunizieren, wann und wo man umsteigen muss, denn ich wusste es nicht, bis mich eine Frau vom nächsten Bus angerufen hat)
Terrible experience – Completely unprofessional and traumatizing
I had an awful experience with this transport company and would absolutely not recommend them to anyone.
First, the booking indicated that we would take a single coach for the entire journey. Instead, we were forced to switch buses two times without any prior warning, which was incredibly inconvenient.
Second, the staff was extremely noisy throughout the trip. They made it completely impossible for passengers to get any rest or sleep.
However, the absolute worst and most traumatizing part of the trip was seeing how animals were treated. At the luggage compartment, they had loaded two live goats crammed into minuscule cages. The animals were visibly terrified, stressed, and kept in completely inhumane conditions. Seeing this was deeply upsetting and unacceptable.
Avoid this company if you expect a peaceful journey and basic ethical standards.

Such a seamless travel operation. Pretty much door to door service. Very friendly and helpful staff. The best sleeper bus we’ve taken so far in Vietnam.
The bed was too short to sleep in. But the bus was on time to the minute, and the driver was so helpful and had me connected to my boat trip

We used Daiichi for our journey from Sapa to Catba island. Our bus was booked for 10.30pm but Saoviet bus operator moved us to 11pm bus. We were anxious if we would miss our connection in Hanoi and that's not refunded. Bus left on time and we were stuck between lao cai and sapa for 20 minutes. Bus stopped at lao cai to pick some more passengers. We were dropped in Hanoi by 5.10am. We walked 150m to Saoviet office. At 5.40am Daichii bus came and picked us up. Everything was very well managed. We were dropped at our hotel in Catba at sharp 9am. Overall it was a good experience, safe driving for both legs - sapa to hanoi and hanoi to cat ba. I highly recommend.
Arrived on time in Cat Ba, but it was a "near miss" despite timely communication via WhatsApp. VIP Sao Viet sleeper bus from Sapa to Hanoi was very nice (10:30pm-4:45am). Instructed to wait for connecting bus, which would pick-up at 5:40am. Bus did not arrive, messaged via WhatsApp ... picked-up by local van ... and connected to the second bus, which departed at 6am. Daichi bus stop is less than 500-meters from Sao Viet drop-off, suggest either walking, or messaging Daichi immediately when you get dropped off so that you do not accidentally get left behind. After second bus, brief boat ferry to Cat Ba Island, followed by third bus to Cat Ba Town, arrived on-time at 9am.
Bus startet 45 min Late. I told the Ladys in the office we will miss the bus in Hanoi and also messaged the WhatsApp contacts I was told ,this is so you don’t have to wait too long in Hanoi’. When we arrived in Hanoi (late, just as I had predicted) the connecting bus to cat ba did not leave from the agreed place of pickup but somewhere else. In the office in Hanoi where we arrived the man in charge only said ,here no cat ba’ and did not help. I got a message last minute from the bus personell of the second bus so we managed to get a grab to reach the other place of departure literally in the moment the bus was about to depart. The buses themselves were comfortable and the drivers were nice, but both the given WhatsApp contacts and the people in both the offices were part of the problem, not part of the solution.
Negative point:
Confirmation took more than 48 hours to arrive...
Confirmation received the day before departure.
First bus trip operated by SAO VIET and not by DAIICHI. The bus departed an hour late.
Nevertheless, DAIICCHI managed the connection in Hanoi very well, which went smoothly (WhatsApp exchanges).
DAIICHI dropped us off directly at the address of our accommodation in Cat Ba.
