Il viaggio è andato bene, anche se il cartello indica l'arrivo alle 10.00, ma il traghetto non parte prima delle 9.30, mentre noi siamo partiti solo alle 10.30 e ci vogliono circa 2 ore. È stato sicuro ed è stato un caos poco organizzato, ma avevamo delle cordicelle e questo ha reso tutto più facile.

The trip was fine altogether although it does state arrival at 10am, however the ferry doesn’t leave until 9.30 on the sign in the shop, however we didn’t leave until gone 10.30am and takes roughly 2 hours. Was safe and it was slightly unorganised chaos but we did have lanyards so that made it slightly easier

Ero molto preoccupato per il viaggio dopo aver sentito molte storie horror. È stato meglio di quanto mi aspettassi. Il furgone era vecchio, non c'era l'aria condizionata e i finestrini non si abbassavano; per fortuna eravamo solo in 3, quindi abbiamo avuto un po' di spazio per noi.

Was very anxious about the journey after hearing a lot of horror stories. It was better than I expected. The van was old, there was no ac and the windows wouldn't go down; luckily there was only 3 of us so we had some room to ourselves.

È stato davvero bello e sono rimasto sorpreso di come sia andato tutto liscio! L'autista è venuto a prenderci alle 6.50 e ci ha portato al porto. Abbiamo ricevuto le carte d'imbarco e ci hanno detto quando saremmo partiti. C'è una tassa al porto e una sull'isola. La barca non era molto veloce ma andava bene. A un certo punto ho visto una farfalla e ho potuto osservarla! Sul sito dicevano dalle 7 alle 10 ma siamo arrivati all'1.30 a Gili Air. Il resto è stato davvero buono!

It was a really good and i was surprised how smooth everything went! The driver picked us up at 6.50am and drove us to the harbour. We got our boarding passes and they tell us when we leave. There is a fee at the harbour and one on the island. The boat wasnt really fast but it was alright. At some point i saw a butterfly and could observe it! On the site they said 7 to 10 but we arrived at 1.30 to Gili Air. The rest was really good!

Abbiamo aspettato più di un'ora sulla barca. Quando la barca è arrivata non c'erano più posti a sedere, ci siamo dovuti sedere sul tetto della barca per 2 ore. Non va bene, non lo consiglio

Waited over an hour on the boat. When the boat arrived there was no seats left, had to sit on the roof of the boat for 2 hours. Not good do not recommend

Il trasferimento al molo era ok, ma senza cinture. Il viaggio dal molo a Gili Air è stato terribile. Sono stato su altre barche veloci ma questa è stata la peggiore! Sembrava che si stesse per spaccare in due. Non lo consiglio.
L'orario di arrivo a gili era quasi 3 ore dopo.

The transfer to the pier was ok, but no belts. The trip from the pier to gili air was awfull. I have been in other speed boats but this one was the worst! It seemed like it was going to split in 2. Do not recommend.
Time of arrival at gili was almost 3 hours later.

Siamo arrivati dove volevamo, quindi va bene così.
Fate solo attenzione che il trasferimento in taxi sia incluso. Sul biglietto pdf c'era scritto "transfer incluso", ma volevano comunque farci pagare 500.000 per un pick-up (???!). Per il resto il nostro bus-taxi è stato molto gentile.
Poi, preparatevi anche ad aggiungere 10.000 al porto per una creativa "tassa portuale" + 10.000/pax per un'altra creativa "tassa d'ingresso all'isola".

We arrived where we wanted to go, so that's fine.
Just pay attention that your taxi transfer is included. On the pdf ticket it was written "transfer included" but, they still wanted to make us pay 500.000 for a pickup (???!). Our bus-taxu otherwise was really nice.
Then, be ready also to add 10.000 at the harbour for an creative "harbour fee" + 10.000/pax for another creative "island entrance fee".

A causa del maltempo molte barche sono state cancellate e noi eravamo un po' spaventati. Così abbiamo prenotato la nostra barca con autista tramite 12go asia e il servizio è stato ottimo � abbiamo ricevuto una e-mail in anticipo che ci avrebbero portato in un altro porto. L'autista è stato molto cordiale e puntuale. Al porto ci ha mostrato dove prendere i biglietti. La barca era ok. È un viaggio lungo e la cosa migliore da fare è dormire. Credetemi. Non c'è molto spazio per le gambe e due giorni dopo purtroppo ho ancora una sensazione di intorpidimento al ginocchio...

Due to bad weather a lot of boats were canceled and we were kind of afraid. So we booked our boat with driver via 12go asia and the Service was great we got an e-mail in advance that they will bring us to a different port. The driver was very friendly and on time. At the port he showed us where we get the Tickets. The Boat was ok. It‘s a long ride and the best thing to do is to sleep. Believe me. There is not much space for your legs and two days later i sadly have still a numb feeling on my knee…

Il trasferimento è stato buono! La barca è partita in ritardo e ci ha messo molto più tempo del previsto, ma è andata bene perché non avevamo fretta. Il porto di Padangbai è un po' strano, non c'è molto e non è organizzato.

Transfer was good! Boat was late to depart and took much longer than billed but that was ok as we weren’t in a rush. Padangbai port is a bit crazy, not much there and it’s quite unorganised

Forse sono stato estremamente fortunato, forse stanno cambiando in meglio, ma la mia esperienza è stata buona.
Sono venuti a prendermi all'hotel in orario, il furgone era comodo, l'autista era gentile.
Poi siamo arrivati al porto e tutti hanno ricevuto i cordini numerati.
Siamo partiti con 45 minuti di ritardo, ma la barca era comoda. Ero seduto davanti e potevo sentire l'aria condizionata (era rumorosa. Le cuffie antirumore aiutano).
Da Bali a Gili T abbiamo impiegato 1:54 minuti.
Ci hanno anche spiegato di una truffa in cui le persone cercano di dissuaderti dal trasferimento gratuito e ci hanno detto di andare direttamente ai loro uffici per organizzare la navetta.
Alcune cose da notare:
Ho visto molte persone fare colazione in fila e poi vomitare. È una barca veloce. Anche in una giornata di sole, il viaggio sarà difficile. Portate con voi un sacchetto di plastica se siete inclini al mal di mare.
L'attesa dei bagagli è stata la parte più caotica. E anche dover pagare due tasse (una in partenza da Bali e una in arrivo a Gili).
C'è uno striscione che spiega che chi prende la navetta per Sanur, Kuta e Seminyak può essere accompagnato al proprio hotel. Per tutte le altre destinazioni, vi lasceranno al centro della città.

Maybe I was extremely lucky, maybe they're changing for the better but my experience was good.
They picked me up at the hotel on time, the van was comfortable, the driver was nice.
Then we got to the harbor and everyone got numbered lanyards.
We did leave 45 minutes late but the boat was comfortable. I sat in front and could feel the ac (it was loud. Noise-canceling headphones help).
It took us 1:54 minutes from Bali to Gili T.
They even explained about a scam where people try to talk you out of the free transfer and told us to go straight to their offices to arrange the shuttle.
Some things to note:
I saw many people having entire breakfasts in line and then throwing up. It's a speed boat. It will be a rough ride even on a sunny day. Bring your own plastic bag if you're prone to being seasick.
Waiting for the luggage was the most chaotic part. Oh and also having to pay two fees (one leaving Bali and another arriving in Gili).
There's a banner explaining that people who take the shuttle to Sanur, Kuta, and Seminyak can be dropped at their hotels. For every other destination, they'll leave you at the city center.
