Les deux principaux éléments qui rendent les voyages en camionnette si attrayants sont le large choix de destinations et les tarifs abordables. Toutes les camionnettes n'offrent pas un confort optimal, un espace suffisant pour les jambes ou pour les bagages, mais les deux avantages principaux compensent ces désagréments. Par ailleurs, ce sont toujours les vans qui lancent de nouvelles liaisons vers des destinations émergentes, ouvrant la voie aux grands opérateurs de bus si nécessaire ou restant le seul moyen de transport pour s’y rendre. Très souvent, les vans offrent un service plus rapide que les grands bus standards, des horaires plus flexibles et s'adaptent plus facilement aux besoins des voyageurs en termes de planning - s'il y a une augmentation temporaire de la demande en raison de week-ends prolongés ou de jours fériés, les vans ajoutent plus facilement des véhicules à leurs trajets quotidiens que les autres opérateurs. Tarifs et Classes des Billets Your Bus
Contrairement au train ou au bus standard, les minibus offrent rarement le choix de la classe du billet. Tous les sièges du véhicule sont les mêmes, qu'ils soient standards, VIP ou autres. Ce qui peut varier en revanche, c'est le type de van. Certains vans ne peuvent accueillir que 9 à 10 passagers. Pour les voyageurs, cela signifie des sièges plus larges, plus d'espace et un voyage plus confortable. Les fourgons pouvant accueillir jusqu'à 15 passagers sont également acceptables, mais soyez prêt à sacrifier de l'espace pour vos jambes et vos coudes et, très souvent aussi pour vos bagages. Parfois, il peut être judicieux d'acheter deux sièges au lieu d'un pour s’assurer un voyage plus confortable - mais il vaut mieux vérifier auprès de l'opérateur si c’est autorisé sur votre liaison. Voyage en Van : Avantages et Inconvénients
Avantages des Voyages en Van
- Les fourgonnettes peuvent être le seul moyen d'atteindre certaines des destinations, les plus éloignées : des petites villes ou des villages qui ne sont reliés ni par les bus standards ni par le train.
- Les vans peuvent également vous permettre de vous rendre sur certaines îles reliées au continent par des ferries qui ne transportent pas de grands autobus, mais peuvent supporter les fourgonnettes.
- En raison de leur taille réduite par rapport aux bus, les vans sont plus maniables sur la route. Cela permet parfois de réduire la durée du trajet, surtout si la destination n'est pas très éloignée.
- Bien que les vans aient des arrêts officiels prévus à l’avance, ils peuvent aussi vous permettre de descendre à un endroit précis - pas besoin d'aller jusqu’au terminus, il suffit de demander au chauffeur. Notez que ce n'est pas toujours possible, mais dans de nombreux cas cela peut fonctionner. Cela peut vous faire économiser du temps de marche à pied ou le prix d’une course de taxi.
Inconvénients des Voyages en Van
- Les vans qui emportent plus de passagers peuvent paraitres vraiment petits. Ne nous attendez pas à avoir beaucoup d’espace pour vos jambes et vos coudes. Certains vans limitent le nombre de bagages à un seul par billet. Si vous avez plus de sacs, valises ou sacs à dos, on peut vous demander d'acheter un billet supplémentaire seulement pour vos bagages, ce qui double le prix du trajet.
- Les vans ne sont pas toujours à l'heure. Sur certains itinéraires, les vans ne partent que lorsqu'ils sont pleins. Vérifiez auprès de votre opérateur avant d'acheter votre billet, sinon vous risquez d'attendre plus longtemps que prévu jusqu’à ce que le minibus soit plein.
- Nous pensons que c’est le moyen de transport où le risque de tomber sur un conducteur imprudent est le plus élevé. Certaines entreprises installent des systèmes de contrôle de la vitesse sur leurs véhicules, mais il n'est pas rare d'entendre ce dispositif sonner pendant tout le trajet sans que le conducteur n'y prête attention. N'oubliez jamais de boucler votre ceinture de sécurité lorsque vous voyagez en minibus. Mais parfois, vous devrez chercher vous-même votre ceinture.
- Pour les personnes sujettes au mal des transports, il existe un bon conseil : prenez vos médicaments une demi-heure avant votre voyage en van, surtout si votre itinéraire comporte des tronçons sinueux. Vous êtes plus susceptible d'avoir le mal des transports en van qu'en bus.

Asma BL'expérience a été globalement moyenne. Lors de la réservation sur 12Go, j'avais choisi un van Mercedes 12 places afin de voyager confortablement. Cependant, le transporteur nous a envoyé un Nissan Qashqai, un véhicule qui ne correspondait pas du tout à la réservation effectuée. Étant 4 adultes de forte corpulence, nous avons passé près de 6 heures de trajet dans des conditions très inconfortables, avec un espace insuffisant pour les passagers. Même le chauffeur a dû avancer son siège au maximum pour permettre à trois personnes de s'installer à l'arrière.
Malgré ce problème important, le véhicule était propre. Le chauffeur était très sympathique, poli, serviable et professionnel. Sa conduite était irréprochable, respectant le code de la route, et nous sommes arrivés à destination à l'heure prévue.
Je regrette néanmoins que le véhicule fourni n'ait pas correspondu à celui réservé, ce qui a fortement impacté le confort du voyage.
Pour une note, ce commentaire correspondrait à environ 3/5 étoiles : bon chauffeur et ponctualité, mais non-respect du véhicule réservé.

yagmur EJourney from Luxor to Cairo booked with our family of four (normally an 8-hour journey) through 12Go with the “company” Everyday Bus.
We were picked up on time in a spacious minivan, but that is where the positive part of the story ends.
Two additional passengers travelled with us at our expense — presumably the driver’s wife and a friend — and together they occupied four of the nine available seats (we had five seats for four people remaining).
Our luggage was simply thrown into the van despite us repeatedly warning the driver that we had fragile items inside. Even after these warnings, another suitcase belonging to the friend was simply thrown on top of our fragile suitcase. The result: two of the four vases we had bought as souvenirs in Luxor were broken, representing a loss of €120.
The 23-year-old woman in our family was constantly stared at by the additional passenger, to the point that we had to create a makeshift partition to separate her from him. Needless to say, she felt extremely uncomfortable for the remainder of the journey.
The van constantly smelled of exhaust fumes and petrol. The driver and his friend also smoked inside the van while driving.
The air conditioning did not work properly. On several occasions, part of the dashboard had to be dismantled so that some wiring could be adjusted, after which the air conditioning would work again for approximately 15 to 30 minutes.
We had to stop three times because parts underneath the vehicle had come loose.
Once we arrived in Cairo, the driver and his friend did not know how to find their way to Giza. We spent two and a half hours driving around in circles, resulting in extremely dangerous situations on the motorway: swerving across lanes, changing lanes at the very last moment, stopping on the road to look for directions, cutting off other cars, etc.
In the end, we, as foreign passengers, had to show them the way using Google Maps. One of us had to sit next to the driver and effectively act as a co-pilot, giving directions in time to avoid further dangerous situations.
Their explanation was simply: “It’s a big country, you know…”
Upon arrival, they even had the nerve to ask us for cigarettes and a 500 EGP tip.
After confronting them with everything that had happened, they offered compensation in the form of a shuttle from Giza to Cairo Airport, valued at $50. We politely declined and booked a luxury vehicle ourselves for $20.
So, what did this journey cost us?
€180 for the original journey
€120 for the broken vases
Fear and intimidation experienced by the young woman in our family
Extreme anxiety caused by the highly dangerous driving situations
Headaches for everyone due to stress, fear and exhaust fumes
Everyone being completely exhausted and going straight to bed upon arrival simply to recover
In other words: an entire day of our holiday completely ruined.
Never again Everyday Bus!!!
And 12Go… well, offering a service like this on your platform raises some serious questions. I am very curious to see what level of quality you consider acceptable and what your response to this complaint will be. At this point, we also have serious doubts about 12Go.
Of course, there are many good and reliable transport companies. But a service like this should never be allowed to operate on a platform such as 12Go.

Driver stopped 5 times for cigarette and coffee, 2 times for fuel, because the first place first have the correct kind. 1 time to pee on the dive of the road and 1 time to use a toilet. I asked him not to smoke in the car but he did anyway. Many times I saw him scrolling through photos on his phone while driving.

T TI am Japanese. I booked a taxi VIP 3PAX 38 hours before my scheduled departure. The voucher I received after payment said, "Please send a WhatsApp message to this number," so I used it to confirm the pickup time and location, and the drop-off location. 14 hours before the scheduled departure, I received a WhatsApp message from the driver or someone who seemed to be from his company, confirming the same details again. At that time, I mentioned that there were two of us and therefore two suitcases. In the end, the driver arrived at the designated pickup location on time and dropped us off safely. The trip from my hotel in Aswan to Hurghada Airport took 7 hours, including one rest stop. This was 7 hours via the desert road, so I think it would take an additional 2 hours if that route wasn't taken, so I recommend checking the route beforehand. I thought they only did hotel-to-hotel transfers, but when I told them I wanted to go to Hurghada Airport, they accommodated me. The car was the size shown in the image and had air conditioning inside. They picked us up on time, and the information provided was accurate, so I am satisfied.

Lyu The company and the driver forced us to stay overnight at Aswan, because the police officer won't let us pass. My guess is, the company sent us a disqualified driver, resulting in avoiding the highway. What's more, we ordered a 7pax suv, since we have big luggage. But the company just sent us a 5pax suv, resulting in luggage deformation due to over-compression.
