The bus was old and dirty, and there was not enough space between the seat rows. Also it's important to know, that the bus stops in front of pokhara bus park, and not inside like the other buses. It departed 30 minutes late, and the driver was not reachable.

Very comfortable journey on some very challenging roads. The duration was longer than quoted but understandable given the conditions and volume of traffic. Besides flying this is the best way to travel between Kathmandu and Pokhara.

  • If you are planning to travel during the high season, weekends, or national holidays, booking your bus tickets in advance is highly recommended. The demand is at its highest, yet very often, the number of coaches serving the route remains the same. The earlier you reserve your seat, the better. On some routes, you need to secure your ticket more than a month in advance; on others, a couple-of-days advanced booking is enough.
