En av de bästa sakerna med bussresor är att du nästan kan skräddarsy din resa och anpassa den till dina krav på integritet och komfort. Olika klasser och typer av bussar tillgodoser resenärernas olika behov. De billigaste resorna erbjuds normalt av bussar i standardklass. De kan kallas för lokalbussar, expressbussar eller vanliga bussar. Dessa är ett bra val för kortare resor. Sovbussar eller VIP-bussar är bra både för längre resor och resor med övernattning. De kan erbjuda sovplatser eller breda, mjuka och lutande säten, ibland med inbyggda massagealternativ, filtar, läskedrycker och snacks, eller mer omfattande måltider ombord eller vid toalett- eller tankstopp. När du reser med nattbussar kan du spara in på ett hotellrum, men för att få en så bekväm resa som möjligt bör du välja bussklass med omsorg. Priserna beror alltid på hur långt du reser och vilken typ av buss du väljer. För vissa, även kortare resor, är det värt att investera lite extra pengar och köpa en plats på en VIP-buss eftersom det kan spara dig dubbelt så mycket tid som du spenderar på att resa med en vanlig buss.

Fördelar med att resa med buss
- Bussar är det bästa valet för att ta sig till destinationer som inte är anslutna med tåg eller flyg. Bussnätet täcker ofta nästan hela landet, och deras rutter är väl och sedan länge etablerade.
- Till skillnad från flygresor och ibland tågresor behöver man inte komma till busstationen långt i förväg för att ta bussen. Incheckningen, även på internationella linjer, tar inte mycket tid. Bagagetillstånden är vanligtvis mycket resenärsvänliga, och avgiften för extra bagage, om det finns gränser, är normalt inte särskilt hög.
- Bussbiljetter kan vara mer prisvärda jämfört med flyg- eller snabbtågsbiljetter. Det finns alltid ett urval av biljettklasser för alla plånböcker. Billigare standardalternativ kan vara lite långsamma och inte erbjuda högsta komfort, men ändå acceptabla och föra dig till din destination. På längre sträckor ingår toaletter eller toalettstopp samt snacks, vatten och ibland toalettartiklar och filtar nästan alltid i priset.
- Om du är beredd att spendera mer pengar erbjuder vissa VIP-bussar sittplatser som är jämförbara med business class på ett flygplan med breda mjuka liggbara säten, filtar, färre passagerare och många andra förmåner för att göra din resa till en trevlig resa.
Nackdelar med att resa med buss
- Nyare bussterminaler ligger ofta utanför staden, nära större motorvägar, så att bussarna kan undvika trafikstockningar i staden. Tyvärr kan det också skapa extra utmaningar för resenärerna. Att ta sig till en sådan terminal kan vara ett problem eftersom det på vissa destinationer finns restriktioner för vilka fordon som får köra in i terminalen, och du måste använda särskilda transportmedel för att ta dig dit. Detta leder till högre kostnader eftersom priserna kan vara uppdrivna. Räkna också med extra tid om du reser under rusningstid, särskilt om du inte är bekant med trafiksituationen vid din utgångspunkt.
- Bussar är förmodligen det transportmedel som oftare går över tiden än tåg eller flyg. De är starkt beroende av vägsituationen som ibland kan vara oförutsägbar - olyckor, vägarbeten, omvägar osv. Detta gäller särskilt för resor under helger, högsäsong eller nationella helgdagar. Tänk på detta och planera inte för snäva anslutningar.
- Resor på vissa sträckor eller under de mest populära perioderna kan kräva förhandsbokning. Tänk på att det inte alltid är möjligt att dyka upp på busstationen och hoppa på nästa buss - biljetterna kan mycket väl vara slutsålda, så organisera din resa därefter.

Not great. Bus was late & it was an old crappy bus. Not like the nice one from KLIA2 to Melaka. Driver wouldn’t take me to kLIA said I had to take the bus. I booked to KLIA. Not happy.

The bus was early and arrived to destination early, which is great. The reason for 3 stars is that there was a high pitched indicator noise that went off the entire trip and about drove me mad.

Overall good experience. The seats are comfortable and spacious. The bus was 1 hour late due to the traffic on the surroundings of Kuala Lumpur. Try to avoid busy traffic hours.

I reserved from 12go application, but there is an error for the departure time. The bus goes 3 hours later. The ticket girls at the station TBS are very kind, and manage to have a earlier ticket.

Bus was half an hour late without any information. Luggage department seemed very poor, driver had trouble opening it so there was little space for everyone’s luggage hence everything was stacked. Was a weird high pitch in the bus very frequently. Driving skills were a bit scary, many near-accidents in my opinion.

The bus was clean and comfortable. Everything was fine and the driver drove safely. The bus was approximately on time. On the 5-6 hours trip from KL to Penang we had a lunch/restroom break right after Ipoh.
Buying the ticket in 12Go Asia was easy and I got the e-ticet to my email right after finishing the purchase on 12Go site.

Автобус очень комфортный, кресла широченные, расстояние между сиденьями тоже большое! Доехали очень быстро, немного в пробочке в самой Малакке простояли!
Читал про писчащий сигнал - это превышение скорости, пищал когда водитель больше 100 разгонялся! Мне не сильно мешал, хотя сидел прям за водителем! В крайнем случае наушники можно одеть!

No holdups, dead on time, air con perfect...not like in other countries (Thailand for example) where they don’t know the difference between air con and refrigeration. Comfy seating. Love the single seats and huge legroom. Good value all round.

The trip itself was fine, but we should have arrived 13:45 and we were not in any traffic jam or anything, it was a smooth ride, but we arrived more than 1.5 hours later. How can this be? The driver was fast, so they must miscalculate the whole route. And when we were half way of the distance, I could already see we would have a massive delay and still he stopped for half an hour lunch break. Just state a travel time of 6 hours, and everybody would be fine. This way you cause a lot of stress for everybody.

The bus is comfortable enough and we also had short stops for visiting the restroom but the trip took unrealisticly long and made some extra stops too which occured a huge delay (because traffic was ok, we were not waiting for the people at the stops, etc.) of 4 hrs!!!

Bus was Fine. Everything worked well.
What I really didn’t like was that the driver constantly drives to fast and because of this there was a loud warning sound nearly during the hole trip.

I have travelled with 5 different bus lines in Malaysia. Transnational is the only one I have taken twice and that is largely because its performance met my expectations. My only two suggestions are:
- It would be nice if the seats had a USB charging socket but beyond that I am happy with the service; and
- kill the speed warning (preferably by slowing down) we know it is difficult to keep to a schedule with traffic and we won't hold you accountable for being late but the warning for exceeding the speed limit carries back more into the bus and is decidedly annoying (note: I felt the driver was driving very safely but was trying hard to meet a schedule that wasn't going to be met)

my chair cannot be adjust, the handle is nowhere to be found and thus i did not have the comfort to sleep during the 5 hrs journey. thats why i rate it 2 stars only. i feel so restless with it. if only the sit can be adjusted. please check the sit and repair it. thanks.

Bus was comfortable, seats reclined to a good angle for a comfortable sleep. USB charging points below the seats were also useful. Got us home to KL from Melaka in just over two hours during CNY so definitely bonus points for making that happen.

On the 12go itinerary it advised the bus would arrive in Butterworth at 14.45. We did not arrive until 17.15! There was no communication from either the company or the drivers that the route had been changed to include several stops/towns on the way. Thete was no traffic to delay the journey. Not at all happy!

The bus service was on time, but the bus itself was in poorshape.The seat handrests were loose and were coming apart. The bus was carrying so many cold storage containers with some bottled.drinks, and so many plastic buckets with things in it that there was no room for passengers to put their suitcases. All the passengers were struggling to stuff their luggage in the storage space. There was no help or effort by the driver to help accomodate the luggage. it was a struggle by all the passengers to put the luggage inside.

Bus ride was 6 hours, in stead of 3h they listed, due to really bad traffic (can happen). According to other passengers, normally it takes 4-5 hours. Would have been better if they advertised with 4h.

The driver was nice and always available for any urgence.
We were late but i think that the scheduled for that trip is wrong. The place in which there is the Transnasional stop is terrible. They doesn’t serve cold water and the toilets are dirty.

We read a lot of bad things before we booked the bus so we were prepared for every situation. But honestly, everything went well. The bus left on time, the driver was polite, the seats were comfy, the AC wasn't too cold, we made a toiletstop and we arrived on time as well. So all in all: good busjourney!
