Fördelar med att resa med buss
- Bussar är det bästa valet för att ta sig till destinationer som inte är anslutna med tåg eller flyg. Bussnätet täcker ofta nästan hela landet, och deras rutter är väl och sedan länge etablerade.
- Till skillnad från flygresor och ibland tågresor behöver man inte komma till busstationen långt i förväg för att ta bussen. Incheckningen, även på internationella linjer, tar inte mycket tid. Bagagetillstånden är vanligtvis mycket resenärsvänliga, och avgiften för extra bagage, om det finns gränser, är normalt inte särskilt hög.
- Bussbiljetter kan vara mer prisvärda jämfört med flyg- eller snabbtågsbiljetter. Det finns alltid ett urval av biljettklasser för alla plånböcker. Billigare standardalternativ kan vara lite långsamma och inte erbjuda högsta komfort, men ändå acceptabla och föra dig till din destination. Nackdelar med att resa med buss
- Nyare bussterminaler ligger ofta utanför staden, nära större motorvägar, så att bussarna kan undvika trafikstockningar i staden. Tyvärr kan det också skapa extra utmaningar för resenärerna. Att ta sig till en sådan terminal kan vara ett problem eftersom det på vissa destinationer finns restriktioner för vilka fordon som får köra in i terminalen, och du måste använda särskilda transportmedel för att ta dig dit. Detta leder till högre kostnader eftersom priserna kan vara uppdrivna. Räkna också med extra tid om du reser under rusningstid, särskilt om du inte är bekant med trafiksituationen vid din utgångspunkt.

It will get you from Pakse to Ubon, but not much more. We bought tickets in advance and arrived an hour early but we still had to sit in plastic seats that lined the aisle. The bus was also delayed 4 hours. AC was weak at best. However the driver and workers were very kind and nice.

That was nice! They sent me exact location where I should board. The bus was nice, just as expected. It arrived to the destination earlier, about 5am, instead of 6am. Also, I saw 12go logo on the bus station, which helped me to recognize I’m at the right spot.

As a solo female traveler I actually quite enjoyed this trip. I booked only one tickets so a Lao women was laying next to me but it was fine! You can sit up in your bed, get a nice blanket and snack package and I thought that the road wasn’t too bad!

Be aware that it is a very, very bumpy ride! We barely slept. The bus itself is quite good. If you travel alone, be aware you share a small bed with a stranger. There are charging stations, but they didn't work, so make sure you have everything fully charged. The staff onboard doesn't speak English. Our bus was very empty, but we weren't allowed to sleep on another bed, so we had to stay together on the same bed. Also, the bus has a toilet onboard, so no stops. Make sure you've had dinner before getting onboard. You get a small bottle of water from the staff.

It’s a fast and simple way to travel from Vientiane to Pakse, but don’t expect to sleep much. It’s shaking A LOT the whole way.

The bus is modern and the beds are comfortable and clean. The thing is that you can not really enjoy all of this because the roads in Laos are pretty bumpy, the busdriver drives fast (we arrived 1 hout earlier) and the whole bus is moving left and right while shaking. I haven’t slept during the ride and would take a daytime bus the next time.

Never expected such a smooth ride from Vientiane down to Pakse. Shared to bed with my friend, was very comfortable and slept the whole way through. Bus drove at normal speed and was on time.

The bus left on time and arrived on time so no complaints. The beds are clean enough and blankets, pillow and water are provided. One thing to note - you do share a bed, so if you are booking only 1 ticket you will share with a stranger. We booked 2 tickets as we are a couple. We are 5 ft 7 and 5 ft 9, regular build and it was very cosy width ways and definitely not long enough (the beds are obviously designed for a petite person). It is bearable for 1 night but I wouldn't expect to sleep much. Also, with the the road from Vientiane to Pakse being the main road running through the country, you would expect it to be semi decent but it was very bumpy.

Very very bumpy ride so it can be hard to sleep as you’re being tossed around. If you get your “seat” at the back of the bus it’s a giant bed you share with 3 other people, beds are also 2 people so if you aren’t traveling with a friend or significant other you’ll be paired with a stranger. Kinda creepy as the beds are quite small lol. If there are open beds they will let you move so that’s nice.

Fahrt ging pünktlich los. Bus war sauber. Die Betten (ca. 1m x1,50 Meter ) sind jeweils für zwei Personen. Für Personen größer als 1,80 Meter wird es schon etwas eng, aber es geht. Decken und Kissen sind vorhanden. Es gibt keinen Vorhang der die Kabinen abtrennt, also dementsprechend auch wenig Privatsphäre.
Während der Fahrt wurde an unterschiedlichen Stellen gehalten, an denen Gäste ein oder ausgestiegen sind oder der Fahrer eine kurze Pause gemacht hat. Einen offiziellen Stopp gibt es nicht.
Vor der Fahrt gibt es noch Milch, einen kleinen Kuchen sowie eine kleine Flasche Wasser.
Grundsätzlich zu empfehlen.

All brilliant, easy border crossing(no fee for us as Europeans both on Lao and Thai side!), had about 2 hours on the border for processing (only took 20 minutes) and food /shopping. Even arrived 1 hour early in Bangkok. Khob chai !

Bus relativement confortable enfin ça dépendra de votre taille parce qu’on m’a mis dans le box le plus petit alors que je suis plutôt grande. Heureusement le chauffeur nous a déplacé si coup j’ai pu me mettre de travers. Sur votre site il était noté qu’on devait arriver à 8h alors qu’on est arrivées à 8:50 du coup on a raté notre train

Dirty bus, dirty and wet bathroom, impossible to use. We made a stop halfway (1 in 11.5 hours of travel). we bought 2 seats each and had enough space to lie down (2 person beds 1.5m long 1m wide).

No issues on the bus, allocated seats where fine with no one contesting. The bus was clean and for the most part pretty quite. We where dropped off in Chitpasong bus station in the middle of Pakse which was perfect and on time also.

There are a lot of buses on this route but no all of the buses are equal. This carrier was a newer bus with minimal stops. Clean and quick. The bed size is squishy and since there are no seat belts, you might end up on top of your bedmate if the driver takes a quick turn.

Nothing wrong with the bus itself, except for that departure time is officially at 20:30 and we arrived at 6 instead of 7.30, which was quite a hassle for me with two kids refusing to wake up. The staff wasn’t helpful at all to a pregnant woman with two small children, refusing to put me on the lower level and watching me drag my heavy bag through the narrow aisle one way and then up to the second floor, before mentioning that there is actually a luggage space below the bus. As predicted, the upper floor was shaking so massively (seemed like the driver was soeeding like crazy if we arrived 1,5h early) that my 3-old took his revenge by vomiting in the bed.

The bus is really confy, clean and seems pretty new. The AC was strong but bearable
The blankets were clean, soft and didn't smell bad.
The toilets were a little bit smelly but clean.
The driver was driving like crazy and we arrived at Vientiane 1h early. We didn't stop in a gas station or wathever so use the toilets on board if you need and brig food with you (they provide a small snack and a small bottle of water).
The departure is at 8:30pm (on the ticket) not 8pm.
On the website the price if a lot more than the one on the ticket. The normal price is 170000 kip so book directly at the bus station, at least 1h30 before the departure.

The border process should be explained to passengers. When I finished at Laos immigration I turned around to see the bus driving off. A local Laos lady told me I had to walk to Thsi border. This should e explained and adequate time allowed. The driver did not even check before he left that everyone was on the bus. At another stop again we were not told how long we had and no one checked that everyone was back on the bus. I gave three stars just because we left and arrived pretty much on time and were given water and a cookie. Bus was comfortable certainly not VIP. I had to move seat because there was no cover on air con vent and was blowing cold air all over me. Look I got to Bangkok that was main thing but border situation and stops need to be communicated.

Really nice bus, nice not having to stop for the toilet as the bus had one. Smooth journey. However we had tickets for a bed and someone was in it. They swapped our ticket for a bed half the size which was not okay for two people. Only solved because a young girl swapped beds with us.

28/04/2019 - On ticket bus leaves at 8.00 pm but it's not true. All the buses leave at 8.30 pm. As I came to exchange m yvoucher for a ticket 2 ladies frantically started to call I don't know who using 2 phones each without communicating anything to me. It wasn't really good. Anyway the bus was good.

The sleeperbus was very comfortable! If your are a solo traveler like me, maybe you should think about buying to beds instead of one, cause sleeping close to an unknown person can make the trip uncomfortable. Even though the sleeper is comfortable, the beds are quite tight and very close to eachother.
The only thing that was a hassle was to find out where to change the voucher into a ticket, since the company never picks up the phone! In the end in Vientiane it was easy, since they have their own ticket office at the bus station. But when you don’t know this, you can get a little stressed ;)

Trip to Paske overnight was great. Left on time and arrived 2hrs early! Beds had comfy pillow, sheet and duvet. Water and biscuits provided. If you're tall, like me, you won't be able to stretch out.

The bus was above expectations - bed style accommodation with pillows and doonas/duvets included + a bottle of water and bread roll. Left on time and arrived early. There were a few stops (6) to drop off people where they turn on the lights (so had to cover my 3 year olds eyes) and there was a little bit of noise from other passengers - so blondfold / ear plug could come in handy. Was hard to confirm the trip the day of departure as bud company not answering phone and trip was listed as ‘no services’ on website - so got to bus station way too early (8 hrs) and there is not much there. Otherwise good trip - caution bumpy roads! So maybe not for light sleepers

Clean, nice bus with AC, pillows, blankets, water and cookies for free. Beds are 1m x 1.5m for two people. If you can, book two seats for yourself so that you have one bed by yourself. Driving was quite smooth, we arrived almost an hour early. The bus had been rescheduled to leave 30 mins later than what we thought. Would take it again.

They did not provide wifi password. Bed was at the back and was quite noisy because of the aircon. Toilet was very dirty and wet. However, the linen was clean and journey was fast. Reached before 7am.

The trip itself was fine, arrived early mostly comfortable. The only issue was checking in, there was no one at the check in counter and after half hour of searching for the bus or staff we finally found some one from a different company who exchanged our voucher for a ticket so we ended up travelling with a different company. Very confusing.

De plus, si le wifi ne.fonctionne pas ( ce qui arrive a chaque fois ) , pourquoi mettre en grand au guichet qu'il y aura du wifi?

The bus was extremely old and in very bad condition. I had to change beds because water started dripping down from the ceiling. There was no access to a toilet, the door was padlocked from the outside. It was freezing cold at night and some of the blankets were old. I don’t know why 12Go use this company, in the bus station there were other buses which looked so much better and newer. I would have preferred that option. I also paid double the price, because I didn’t want to share with a stranger. The space is not big enough for 2 people. Overall I would not recommend to anyone to book this bus and I would not take it again.
