Fördelar med att resa med buss
- Bussar är det bästa valet för att ta sig till destinationer som inte är anslutna med tåg eller flyg. Bussnätet täcker ofta nästan hela landet, och deras rutter är väl och sedan länge etablerade.
- Till skillnad från flygresor och ibland tågresor behöver man inte komma till busstationen långt i förväg för att ta bussen. Incheckningen, även på internationella linjer, tar inte mycket tid. Bagagetillstånden är vanligtvis mycket resenärsvänliga, och avgiften för extra bagage, om det finns gränser, är normalt inte särskilt hög.
- Bussbiljetter kan vara mer prisvärda jämfört med flyg- eller snabbtågsbiljetter. Det finns alltid ett urval av biljettklasser för alla plånböcker. Billigare standardalternativ kan vara lite långsamma och inte erbjuda högsta komfort, men ändå acceptabla och föra dig till din destination. På längre sträckor ingår toaletter eller toalettstopp samt snacks, vatten och ibland toalettartiklar och filtar nästan alltid i priset.
- Om du är beredd att spendera mer pengar erbjuder vissa VIP-bussar sittplatser som är jämförbara med business class på ett flygplan med breda mjuka liggbara säten, filtar, färre passagerare och många andra förmåner för att göra din resa till en trevlig resa.
Nackdelar med att resa med buss
- Nyare bussterminaler ligger ofta utanför staden, nära större motorvägar, så att bussarna kan undvika trafikstockningar i staden. Tyvärr kan det också skapa extra utmaningar för resenärerna. Att ta sig till en sådan terminal kan vara ett problem eftersom det på vissa destinationer finns restriktioner för vilka fordon som får köra in i terminalen, och du måste använda särskilda transportmedel för att ta dig dit. Detta leder till högre kostnader eftersom priserna kan vara uppdrivna. Räkna också med extra tid om du reser under rusningstid, särskilt om du inte är bekant med trafiksituationen vid din utgångspunkt.
- Bussar är förmodligen det transportmedel som oftare går över tiden än tåg eller flyg. De är starkt beroende av vägsituationen som ibland kan vara oförutsägbar - olyckor, vägarbeten, omvägar osv. Detta gäller särskilt för resor under helger, högsäsong eller nationella helgdagar. Tänk på detta och planera inte för snäva anslutningar.
- Resor på vissa sträckor eller under de mest populära perioderna kan kräva förhandsbokning. Tänk på att det inte alltid är möjligt att dyka upp på busstationen och hoppa på nästa buss - biljetterna kan mycket väl vara slutsålda, så organisera din resa därefter.

Driver missing long time for just a toilet break. Seat and drive was ok. The driver tells everyone to have 20mins toilet break at the gas station. However, he was missing for about 50 mins. Ended up, we were late for arrival about more than 1 hour.

The trip was delayed by 2hrz as one passenger was held at the border inconveniencing all others. Patience of the driver. He drove about 10 mts back as one passengers did not board the bus from the rest place. The trip was delayed because of the above 2 reasons of 2 persons belonging to the same group. On such occasions others should not be inconvenienced to that extent, because time is precious for everyone.

Good bus, angry driver. The bus was clean and comfortable, left on time and we got to our destination. The company sent a very informative email the evening before and it went smoothly at the station. Driver drove safely. The driver yelled at us and was very aggressive, and we had no idea why, since he didn't speak English and we don't speak Bulgarian. It was very unpleasant. He seemed to very much enjoy what little power he had. The border crossing took an hour and a half because the driver couldn't open one of the outside compartments on the bus for the customs officer. You'd think they'd know how to open that if they do this trip every day. We got there in the end.

Service Perfect. Sofia bus station no WiFi. Comfortable ride. Excellent driver. Bus stations never have WiFi making it impossible to use a taxi app, so unscrupulous taxis charge 30 Euros for what should be a 12 Euro fare. This costs more than the bus fare making it too expensive to travel by bus for that reason.

Great! I' ve lost the bus because the station you have to go to is not the main one, is literally the one next to it, like 50 mt. The guy at the check in was nice, got us a taxi (another person had the same problem and we run behind the bus. The ride was great. Only thing, inside the bus there is a bathroom but no one is allowed to use it. The driver was a tiny rude.

They oversold the bus by 6 seats and threatened to leave the entire group. Literally nothing, it was the worst travel experience I’ve ever had. The entire situation was a mess, they only provided a sprinter van that could seat about 10-12 people, didn’t have space for 6 people who bought and paid for their tickets weeks in advance. Driver was extremely rude and tried blaming passengers for being late (everyone was there 10 minutes before departure) as the reason there wasn’t space. 6 of us had to sit ON THE FLOOR of the bus, after the driver kept yelling he was going to leave us there and that he didn’t care it was oversold. Thankfully someone in the group was able to talk to the bus company and organize a private shuttle from the border checkpoint because the driver said he was going to leave the excess 6 people AT THE BORDER. Then while trying to retrieve bags from the back to get the separate shuttle the driver drove away forcing us to literally run after him with people attached to the vehicle. Positively the worst travel experience I have ever had and I don’t understand how something like this even happens.

RUDE DRIVER on both journeys. Bus was on time for both Journeys. must say driver needs to have a bit more manners with his passengers he shouted at me on the first journey out to Varna as I was trying to open my emails with the tickets on to show him and on the return journey he shouted at me again ,made me get off the bus to show him my return ticket, I think he was laughing about it with another person this is well out of order I have pins in my leg after a Bad Accident and can find it hard walking at times and because or this I will not use your buses again.

Transporting people and transporting potatoes are two very different things.. The driver drove the bus in an extremely risky manner, not considering that there were passengers behind him for whom he was responsible. He did not respect the speed limits indicated on the road signs and on average exceeded them by about 20 km/h. There wasn't a turn where all the passengers weren't stuck left or right on the sides of the bus. There were several situations on the road where we miraculously avoided an accident. If I were this driver's employer, I would immediately fire him, and if I were a police officer, I would take away his driver's license. Sooner or later, the driver's luck will fail him, and then everyone will wonder why this happened?

A very good experience. Everything. Bus on time. Driver very nice. The bus was nice and clean. Most of all, not full, even though in August. For information, no stop for eating or anything. One stop for the toilets at the Bulgarian border. But it was still very fine.

I liked the comfort of the bus - it was clean, well airconditioned. The driver was polite, the speed of driving was great. To be honest, I'm positively surprised by the trip. The e-ticket from GetByBus was not indicating that we must go to the bus station desk and we need to get the printed ticket there. Having in mind that we have printed the e-ticket on paper, we had again to go to the desk. The message that we should print-out the ticket at the desk at the bus station arrived a bit late (9 minutes before departure). Thanks to the driver we did it even before we received the sms. There was a long "toilet and smoke" break before the border control which took almost 30min.
