Для этого придумали разные типы автобусов и разные классы билетов – каждый сможет подобрать что-то конкретно под свои запросы. Как правило, самые дешевые билеты – на стандартные автобусы. Они могут называться по-разному: местные, экспресс, обычные и т.д., но суть одна. Такие автобусы вполне подойдут для коротких поездок. Автобусы-слиперы (спальные, ночные) или VIP хороши для длинных и ночных переездов. Такие автобусы могут быть оснащены более широкими мягкими раскладывающимися креслами, иногда с функцией массажа, или спальными полками; билет может включать одеяла, безалкогольные напитки, снеки или более плотную еду прямо на борту либо в кафе во время остановок на размять ноги, сходить в туалет или заправиться. Если выбирать ночные автобусы, то можно сэкономить на стоимости комнаты в отеле, но тут стоит выбирать правильный класс автобуса, чтобы провести ночь с максимальным комфортом. Порой даже для не самых длинных поездок стоит заплатить чуть больше за VIP, потому как на некоторых маршрутам ВИПы идут порой в два раза быстрее обычных автобусов.

Плюсы путешествия на автобусе
- Автобус – лучший вариант, чтобы добраться до локаций, которые не связаны жд веткой или авиасообщением. Автобусная сеть часто охватывает всю страну, а маршруты давно сформированы и обкатаны.
- В отличие от авиаперелетов и иногда – жд поездок приезжать на автостанцию сильно заранее необходимости нет. Регистрация, даже на международных автобусных рейсах, как правило, не занимает много времени. Допуски по багажу тоже весьма и весьма приятные, а если лимиты на вес багажа все-таки установлены, то доплата за перевес почти всегда совсем невысокая.
- Билеты на автобус обычно более доступны, чем билеты на самолет или скорый поезд. Разнообразие классов и тарифов ориентировано на любой кошелек. Самые дешевые варианты, возможно, не самый быстрый способ прибыть в пункт назначения, но свою работу автобусы в любом случае делают. На более длинных маршрутах есть либо туалеты в салоне, либо остановки, билет включает снеки, воду, иногда туалетные принадлежности, одеяла и прочие полезные и приятные вещи.
- Если вы готовы потратить чуть больше, то некоторые ВИПы по комфорту и обслуживанию могут вполне соперничать с бизнес-классом на самолетах: широкие мягкие раскладывающиеся кресла, одеяла, меньшее, по сравнению с обычными автобусами, число пассажиров и прочие бонусы очень скрашивают впечатления от поездки.
Минусы путешествия на автобусе
- Новые междугородние автобусные терминалы нередко расположены на окраине города у оживленных шоссе, чтобы автобусы не вставали в городские пробки. Для путешественника в этом не только плюс, но и минус. Добираться до таких терминалов бывает непросто или долго, плюс в некоторых локациях обслуживать терминалы разрешается не любому транспорту – т.е. даже некоторые службы такси туда не допускают. Как результат – спекулятивные цены на перевозку. Если нужно выезжать в часы-пик, не забывайте заложить дополнительное время на поездку.
- Автобус, наверное, вид транспорта, который наиболее подвержен задержкам и нарушению расписания – если сравнивать с самолетами или поездами. Причин может быть великое множество – от ДТП до ремонта дороги, объезда и т.д. Ситуация ухудшается в дни государственных праздников, длинные выходные, высокий сезон. Учитывайте этот момент и не планируйте коротких стыковок.
- Если вы планируете поездку по одному из наиболее востребованных маршрутов и/или в высокий сезон, стоит озаботиться заблаговременным бронированием билетов. Учитывайте, что просто прийти на автовокзал и уехать ближайшим рейсом возможно далеко не всегда: билеты вполне могут быть распроданы, так что планируйте заранее.

Time not accurate. The fact that it showed up. The times need to be discussed here. It says 08:22 pick up. Well, when I came to Tjentište I was dropped off at 08:00, so I made the deduction to arrive at 08:00 2 weeks later. Now, if someone was 5 min late and they thought they could still make the bus, they would be screwed! Please communicate schedules accordingly, since there are only 2 buses for the day coming to a super remote village. How annoying would it have been if I arrive at 08:15!

The busdriver was driving ridiculously hard. Also, we arrived about 30 minutes too early. That I got to my destination at one piece. Driver drives too fast. I got 30 minutes too early at my destination. I don't know if this is a scheduling issue or the bus driver's. Imagine waiting for that one bus in the morning and you miss it, because information was not give properly or the bus driver just likes to arrive whenever he wants to.

I changed country with a bus that has 24 person capacity. It was little bit cheap. The bus was really small it had 25 person capacity and i went to montenegro from bosnia by that bus and plus the didn’t have air conditioning inside. It was the worst experience i’ve ever had.

Breathtaking bus trip. The small bus was clean, left on time and arrived at my destination early. The border crossing was fast and efficient. The driver seemed very competent on windy mountain roads. Best thing, the route is absolutely stunning, gorgeous mountain scenery with the road running next to a river through a deep gorge and over high bridges. Hint, try sitting on the left (non driver) side of the bus. Too many tickets were sold and some passengers had to stand for part of the way.

A comfortable trip to Podgorica. The bus was reasonably clean and comfortable, particularly compared with other buses I've taken in Bosnia i Herzegovina recently. The air-conditioning on the bus was working too which was great (especially as this hasn't been the case on other bus rides in Bosnia i Herzegovina so far). The bus driver was kind and helpful. The bus arrived in Podgorica 15 minutes early which was good.

Un viaje tranquilo y profesional. El viaje fue muy tranquilo y sin sobresaltos durante el trayecto de 6 horas. El conductor conducía perfectamente y me sentía seguro. Muy profesional. El aire acondicionado correcto. Quizás diría la música en el Bus. 6 horas de música y el volumen un poco elevado, lo que impedía relajarse.

Interesting drive. Bus from Sarajevo, Bosnia to Podgorica, Montenegro. The good: clean comfortable bus. Fantastic scenery on the route. Cheap transportation! The not so good : Driver was on his mobile phone ALOT. This was on a very twisty mountain road with a big drop if we missed a turn. Comfort breaks along the way had very little to offer (but, this was the back country of Montenegro, what do you expect) Lots of little added expenses no one tells you about. Bus station tax, luggage fees, not terrible but annoying.

The bus journey is very spectacular over the mountains in the north of Montenegro to Sarajevo. The bus was simple but fine, enough leg room and the driver was friendly and helpful. The journey from Podgorica to Sarajevo goes through very spectacular mountainous scenery, an amazing experience. Despite the long journey the bus arrived in Sarajevo on time.

To Maine bus station in Sarajevo! I didn’t like anything, because I had no idea there were two main bus stations in Sarajevo, , so I missed my bus, which cost me an entire day and evening of tedious unwanted unnecessary delays and travel. Interesting. Friendly people in all areas. Our bus broke down after we made our first stop. No so much a big deal yet the bus provided to the border of Bosnia had a leak from a small round hole where I was sitting. I managed to stop it with some paper yet that did not last very long. A fellow passenger gave me a wax ear plug that did the job. At the border we waited an hour for a bus to come to take us to Sarajevo.

Traveling from Podgorica to Sarajevo. Landscape outside was gorgeous. Bus is very old and not well maintained. Every time we were going too slow, it would just shut down. Seats are not comfortable for a 7h ride, especially when the whole bus is packed. We only stopped once for the toilet (ride was over 7h!) Even if I had booked the ticket online, at the bus station I was charged 2€ extra, not sure why.

Driver let someone on who didn’t have a ticket, leaving me without a seat. Sat on floor. Nothing, worst journey of my life. Sat on the floor for 6.45hrs because the driver let someone on who hadn’t bought a ticket. Terrible experience, so uncomfortable without a seat and nobody cared. People drinking alcohol on the bus. No seat. Poor air conditioning.

Beautiful scenery but seat broken. Good driver on difficult mountain roads Left on time. Pretty efficient at border control. HUM route v pretty. Seat broken and fixed in recline position. Unclear how long we had at prolonged station stop as I am non native speaker. Driver smoking.

If you can purchase your ticket on site :). If you can purchase your ticket on site :) - otherwise you will pay one euro fee to enter the bus station, 1 euro fee to leave your luggage in the back and so on. A typical Balkan trip maybe, where the driver smokes, talks on the phone and drives in the same time while outside it’s pouring rain.

Gets you there (hopefully). The driver clearly knows the roads well and despite a number of issues i never actually felt unsafe. Bus departed on time. The ride was very cheap. Driver was on the phone (holding the phone - no earpiece) almost constantly. The engine of the bus cut out a few times, and there was a high-pitched grinding sound most of the way - it could definitely do with a few repairs. We arrived nearly an hour early at the destination, so i suspect that if you want to be picked up along the way at a scheduled stop, you can't rely on the advertised time.

Travel on a scenic route. Most of all, it's a journey through a spectacular scenery. Then, it seemed to me as if the travel time was one hour less than indicated on the ticket, just about 5 hours with one stop. The driver was smoking all the time and had numerous phone calls while driving. He was, however, driving very carefully.
