- В отличие от авиаперелетов и иногда – жд поездок приезжать на автостанцию сильно заранее необходимости нет. Регистрация, даже на международных автобусных рейсах, как правило, не занимает много времени. Допуски по багажу тоже весьма и весьма приятные, а если лимиты на вес багажа все-таки установлены, то доплата за перевес почти всегда совсем невысокая.
- Билеты на автобус обычно более доступны, чем билеты на самолет или скорый поезд. Разнообразие классов и тарифов ориентировано на любой кошелек. Самые дешевые варианты, возможно, не самый быстрый способ прибыть в пункт назначения, но свою работу автобусы в любом случае делают. На более длинных маршрутах есть либо туалеты в салоне, либо остановки, билет включает снеки, воду, иногда туалетные принадлежности, одеяла и прочие полезные и приятные вещи.
- Если вы готовы потратить чуть больше, то некоторые ВИПы по комфорту и обслуживанию могут вполне соперничать с бизнес-классом на самолетах: широкие мягкие раскладывающиеся кресла, одеяла, меньшее, по сравнению с обычными автобусами, число пассажиров и прочие бонусы очень скрашивают впечатления от поездки.
Минусы путешествия на автобусе
- Новые междугородние автобусные терминалы нередко расположены на окраине города у оживленных шоссе, чтобы автобусы не вставали в городские пробки. Для путешественника в этом не только плюс, но и минус. Добираться до таких терминалов бывает непросто или долго, плюс в некоторых локациях обслуживать терминалы разрешается не любому транспорту – т.е. даже некоторые службы такси туда не допускают. Как результат – спекулятивные цены на перевозку. Если нужно выезжать в часы-пик, не забывайте заложить дополнительное время на поездку.
- Автобус, наверное, вид транспорта, который наиболее подвержен задержкам и нарушению расписания – если сравнивать с самолетами или поездами. Причин может быть великое множество – от ДТП до ремонта дороги, объезда и т.д. Ситуация ухудшается в дни государственных праздников, длинные выходные, высокий сезон. Учитывайте этот момент и не планируйте коротких стыковок.
- Если вы планируете поездку по одному из наиболее востребованных маршрутов и/или в высокий сезон, стоит озаботиться заблаговременным бронированием билетов. Учитывайте, что просто прийти на автовокзал и уехать ближайшим рейсом возможно далеко не всегда: билеты вполне могут быть распроданы, так что планируйте заранее.

Pünktliche Abholung am Homestay in Cat Ba. Fahrer ist sehr ordentlich gefahren und der Guide sprach gutes Englisch. Absolut zu empfehlen. Nicht so toll war, der Supermarkt der zur Pause angefahren wird hat keine Preisschilder und die Dame an der Kasse macht unverschämte Touristenpreise. Aber das hat mit der Busfahrt an sich ja nichts zu tun.

Great communication from Good Morning Cat Ba company all through the trip. Got a bus, then boat and bus again once in Cat Ba and we were kept informed to whole time. I was also dropped off at my hostel so worked perfectly for me.

Very good organisation - bus -> ferry-> bus. They drove us to our accommodation.
The bus was good. The seats in the ferry had not that much space for tall people - I’m 185cm (6.06 ft) and had to spread my legs to sit down, but it’s only for maybe 5min (I don’t remember the exact travel time on ferry).

Very great company! The contact people were very helpful and kind to us. They contacted us via WhatsApp with all the important information. We were supposed to have the bus from Hanoi to Cat Ba but missed it due to an accident. The girls from the agency simply changed our tickets and put us on another bus the next day without any additional cost and this on 2 occasions! A big thanks to them

We were able to book this bus trip last minute and then when we arrived at the bus station, they were able to move us to the earlier bus time. The trip was very efficient with no wait time at either transfer. The buses were ok quality. Some seats reclined and couldn’t be made upright which meant a snug fit sitting behind. The ferry was fast and of good quality. We did a bit of touring round the island in order to drop everyone off at their accomodation.

Bus was 30 minutes early so make sure to get there as they recommend. Leaves promptly at the time stated. Very logistically sound process.

We were supposed to get a lunch and dinner break but we ended up only having dinner at 9 pm. We had to transfer in Hanoi and this had to be done running and there was no time to eat or go to the toilet. The drive was alright and the chairs were good as well. Not all outlets worked.

Mostly good organized and quick trip.
It would be better if they just make a meeting point for all guests in old town instead of picking every single one up at the hotel with the whole bus which takes way to much time.
The bus was comfy enough for the 4 hour ride.
Would book again though because there were no complications at all and the personel was very friendly.

Beds / cabins were fine as advertised but they didn't offer a pillow which was kind of uncomfortable. The buttons to adjust the bed didn't work and staff was not very accomodating / kind of rude. Arrived 3 hours later than advertised (which was to be expected, as you cannot go from Ha Giang to Hanoi in 3 hours). In the end it was fine, but manage your expectations I guess...

Alles super gelaufen. Treffpunkt am Büro in Hanoi. Vom Hotel wird man auch abgeholt wenn man im Old Quarter wohnt. Mit etwas Verspätung ging es los Richtung Cat Ba. Auf halber Strecke gibt es dann an einer Raststätte eine kurze Essens- und Toilettenpause. Dann geht's weiter zum Hafen und per Speedboot auf die Insel. Dort ist man dann nach ca. 3 1/2 Stunden. Dann wird man per Bus zu bzw. in fußläufiger Nähe seines Hotels rausgelassen.

The ride was perfect. They picked us up at our hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi for free. We were perfectly on time. The bus was not the newest but sufficient for our trip to Cat Ba. Staff was super friendly.
Would definetely recommend it.

Our guide Hang was awesome! He was very helpful and took good care of us.
Unfortunately the bus was quite old and the seats uncomfortable. A driver picked up us at the airport and brought us to the center of hanoi, where we had to wait for 1,5 hours for the next bus. It was not bad (we had breakfast in the meantime), but the schedule could have been communicated beforehand.

Everything in time: start on 10:45 in Hanoi, arrived in Cat Ba on 14:15. In Cat Ba every guest was dropped off at their hotels/hostels which took a little time as well. Bus from Hanoi to the ferry was very small for European people. Ferry lasted 5 minutes. Bus on Cat Ba was pretty good.

Overall the trip was very well organized having 2 changes of transportation (bus, speedboat, bus).
We were in the hotel a bit later than advertised but that was due all other tourists being transported to the hotel.
The pickup on the way back was already confirmed so they picked us from the hotel as well.

Our ticket said we would arrive in Ha Giang for 10:30pm and we did not arrive until 4:30am as we had to unexpectadly wait in Hanoi for 4 hours. The seats were okay and the driver made stops along the way for toliet breaks. When we stopped for food approximately 30 extra people got on the bus even though there was not enough seats so people were sitting in the walk ways.

Arrived bang on time to collect us. Very comfortable drive. Arrived at the destination earlier than originally estimated, and they actually dropped everyone off right outside our accommodation, which in our case was a 20-min drive away from the office address they had marked as the destination. So we really appreciated not having to get a Grab from the office to our hotel!

Really good quality of a trip. I travelled the day before Tet holiday so I was picked up and taken to the main pick up point in Cat ba. The first bus/ferry ride/ bus to Hanoi were good. The Bus from Hanoi to Ha Giang was Top notch and very comfortable. Would definitely recommend Good Morning Bus Rides

The bus don't go to hanoi airport, but put you in a taxi - just keep in mind that you need to tell them and insist on being brought to the Airport (otherwise you end up in Old Town)

Schnelle Fahrt mit Snacks und Wasser. Auch eine Pause würde pünktlich auf halber Strecke gemacht. Leider war die Beinfreiheit deutlich eingeschränkt.
