Плюсы путешествия на автобусе
- Автобус – лучший вариант, чтобы добраться до локаций, которые не связаны жд веткой или авиасообщением. Автобусная сеть часто охватывает всю страну, а маршруты давно сформированы и обкатаны.
- В отличие от авиаперелетов и иногда – жд поездок приезжать на автостанцию сильно заранее необходимости нет. Регистрация, даже на международных автобусных рейсах, как правило, не занимает много времени. Допуски по багажу тоже весьма и весьма приятные, а если лимиты на вес багажа все-таки установлены, то доплата за перевес почти всегда совсем невысокая.
- Билеты на автобус обычно более доступны, чем билеты на самолет или скорый поезд. Разнообразие классов и тарифов ориентировано на любой кошелек. Самые дешевые варианты, возможно, не самый быстрый способ прибыть в пункт назначения, но свою работу автобусы в любом случае делают. На более длинных маршрутах есть либо туалеты в салоне, либо остановки, билет включает снеки, воду, иногда туалетные принадлежности, одеяла и прочие полезные и приятные вещи.
- Если вы готовы потратить чуть больше, то некоторые ВИПы по комфорту и обслуживанию могут вполне соперничать с бизнес-классом на самолетах: широкие мягкие раскладывающиеся кресла, одеяла, меньшее, по сравнению с обычными автобусами, число пассажиров и прочие бонусы очень скрашивают впечатления от поездки.
Минусы путешествия на автобусе
- Новые междугородние автобусные терминалы нередко расположены на окраине города у оживленных шоссе, чтобы автобусы не вставали в городские пробки. Для путешественника в этом не только плюс, но и минус. Добираться до таких терминалов бывает непросто или долго, плюс в некоторых локациях обслуживать терминалы разрешается не любому транспорту – т.е. даже некоторые службы такси туда не допускают. Как результат – спекулятивные цены на перевозку. Если нужно выезжать в часы-пик, не забывайте заложить дополнительное время на поездку.
- Автобус, наверное, вид транспорта, который наиболее подвержен задержкам и нарушению расписания – если сравнивать с самолетами или поездами. Причин может быть великое множество – от ДТП до ремонта дороги, объезда и т.д. Ситуация ухудшается в дни государственных праздников, длинные выходные, высокий сезон. Учитывайте этот момент и не планируйте коротких стыковок.
- Если вы планируете поездку по одному из наиболее востребованных маршрутов и/или в высокий сезон, стоит озаботиться заблаговременным бронированием билетов. Учитывайте, что просто прийти на автовокзал и уехать ближайшим рейсом возможно далеко не всегда: билеты вполне могут быть распроданы, так что планируйте заранее.

Hi there Signage was very poor, the only way that the clients found the bus (which had changed but the clients were not notified and neither was I) was because a kind old man helped ask around. There was no sign on the bus at all. But the ride to Rovinj was magical and the clients loved it. Thank you so much.

On time. At the return from Rovinj, the driver tried to charge us with extra fee for luggages (2€/luggage). We firmly refuse to pay and the driver did not insist. We felt that he was trying to scam us. We haven't had this issue on the trip Venice > Rovinj (neither last year when we've used Fils-Pula services).

First Driver from Rovinj to Venice behaviour. Bus on time. Tegular stops. The first driver fro Rovinj was demanding 2€ extra in cash for every peace of luggage. Saying it was mandatory but when challanged to show us the proof it changed tune and didn't make up pay the extra charge. Trying to take advantage of unaware turists? Unaccetable and reprimendable behaviour !!!

There was not much difference in the fare. The only thing that saved me was that the driver was a nice guy.

I arrived over an hour and a half after I was supposed to, complicating my plans by a lot, because the driver of the VAN (not a bus as advertised) was picking up and dropping off people from all over the area. Also I was not adcvised that we would be arriving late until 15 minutes before the time we were supposed to arrive.

A pior viagem que já fiz. Começando pelo motorista. Mau educado, pouco cordial, sem comunicação mínima com os passageiros, na maioria estrangeiros, pois só falava a língua croata. Ou seja, absurdo. Motorista ao volante falando no celular a viagem toda. O ônibus foi parado 4 vezes para troca de carro, sem explicação alguma O motorista apenas apontava pra quem era pra sair da van e praticamente obrigou uma família com um bebê a trocar de carro por duas vezes. Isso acontecia quando o motorista parava o carro em um ponto da estrada, encontrava outro carro e outro motorista, conversavam em croata, o mesmo entrava na van e através de gestos brutos mandava pessoas trocarem de carro. A família com o bebê teve que ir pra outro carro e após alguns quilômetros voltarem para o nosso. Em um ponto da estrada mandou todos saírem e depois alguns voltarem. Chegando no aeroporto de venezza estacionou em um beco atrás do aeroporto e trocamos de carro novamente. 2 hrs de atraso. Todos perdemos horário de trem para nossos destino.

For future reference to help you with foreign travelers. Once my husband found the van the drive itself was easy and he got to his destination without any issues. It was finding the bud that was the problem. See comments below. Once my husband found the van it was great but finding the van was the problem. My husband showed up over an hour earlier than the departure time posted. He was told to look for a huge white bus with large letters “FILS” - what he actually should have looked for was a 9 passenger van with tiny letters on it. The sign on the building he was supposed to look for was also pretty small and he doesn’t speak the language so hard to ask people as this bus station is HUGE. People coming and going everywhere. Thank goodness we were able to call dispatch and let them know he was there so they didn’t leave without my husband. The driver finally found my husband screaming into his phone in the middle of the lot.

Bus from Venice to Rovinj, Croatia. Once we worked out the system, our experience with Fils traveling from Venice to Rovinj was great. The ticket said the bus leaves from the Piazzale Roma bus station in Venice, but when we got there we couldn't find the bus. It turns out you need to take the people mover (a kind of air train) two stops to another bus terminal. We expected a large bus but it was actually an 8-seater van (possibly because it was shoulder season and not as busy as during high season.) The driver found us and we boarded along with a few other passengers. The drive was scenic and smooth. I realized once we got to our hotel that I had left a small bag on the bus - I contacted the Fils company and they were incredibly helpful, identifying the bag by sending me a photo then organizing to have another driver return the bag to Rovinj that night, where I picked it up. Great customer service! As mentioned, be aware that the main bus terminal in Venice isn't where this service departs, but two stops away via the people mover (1.50 euro per person.).

Awful. Bus did not follow the route. Was almost 2 hours late. Driver using hand held mobile. Driver was constantly on handheld mobile whilst driving. Stopped and moved half passengers to airport taxi. Then stopped again 1 hour later and moved them back, plus 2 ppl going to Trieste airport (not on the bus route). Detour to airport. We now 30 mins late. After airport we stop again at service station and more people are moved to another airport taxi, and the passenger from that put on our bus. We then go to Venice airport. At airport we all have to get out and move to further vehicle. We arrive at venice mestre after 12pm (due at 10.35) I missed all my connections and could not reach my destination the same day, so had to rebook all trains and hotels. At a cost of over €200. All original passengers on bus going to venice. No reason for any of extra stops or moving passengers. Driver had no english and no passengers were Croatian, and no explanation or communication for changes. No apology to passenger or assistance due to issues caused.

Very helpful. Just one rather minor suggestion for improvement below (signage at Tronchetto). Nice considerate driver. Efficient once we were located and on board. So few services (so vital to catch the one daily one). No way to stop at Piran. The Trochetto carparks (2) are not within sight of each other (station and shops between) , and there is a Flix sign but no Fils signage to suggest which to wait at. When asked nobody there knew! (no info). So it was easy to be waiting out of sight at the wrong car park seeking a big bus, when a minibus is in use. A sign or two to help us and other passengers yesterday (also uncertain due to no info before the driver tried to find each of us) might help us and save him time too. I believe one carpark is used by local tours, the other by longer distance buses. Nothing says so. Many thanks if the Getbybus or Fils can be given this minor suggestion, and if signage or info to wait in the right car park can be improved, reassuring those passengers who will wait in good time before this bus arrives.

All quiet despite border congestion. Despite the disruption created by an unusually high number of coaches (caused by it being the beginning of Orthodox Easter, I assume) arriving at the border at the same time, the crew were phlegmatic about the delay and, together with the passengers, we waited patiently for the border controls to be completed without any unrest. The 2 hour delay in our journey caused by border congestion. No fault of the bus crew or bus company.

Better late than never. Good driver. Clean modern Van. Bus (actually van) was an hour late leaving Venice. The Tronchetto bus depot has no shelter, no seats, little food, no information personnel. We had to phone GetBy Bus to find that the van was in the wrong place. We nearly gave up and were wet and cold! Once under way, the driver did well and we arrived in Pula on time.

Rude driver, so strange. The car was clean. The driver was so rude. It was really shocking how much effort he put into his rude comments to us. Also, we had no idea from this booking site that this was a small semi-private shuttle. The driver said he called us many times. We never got a call, not did we expect one. Our driver must of scorned us at least three times for not picking up the phone. We had no idea to expect a call or text. And like i said, no call. He drove way to fast while in really heavy rain. I would only pick this service as a last resort.

Traffic jam. Despite the massive traffic jams aall across Italy, the driver tried to find ways to drive us around them and in the end took us across big part of Slovenia which was actually really beautiful. The driver intially didn't talk to us at all, didn't explain to us why we're driving a small van instead of a regular bus, he took us through Udine where he was agreed with some friend that he will take her with us. I don't think the friend bought the ticket like us as I've seen some money exchange hands. The lady then continued to talk with the driver for a remainder of the journey which in such a small space was a bit annoying.

Very impressed. Fils Pula actually sent me an email the evening before my trip informing me that the van would be slightly late, which saved me from worrying the morning of my trip. We had a 15 minute rest stop during our four hour journey. Great company. I recommend traveling with them.

The driver was curteous and extremely professional. In addition to his competence as a driver, he is a very honest man. He apparently erroneously failed to pick two additional passengers who met us later, and he appologized, and still got us all to venice at the scheduled hour. We were very impressed.

The driver said the luggage fare was 8 kuna, took 10 and never gave back the change. To a few people. We had to change the buses half way and there was no indication about it in the ticket. Confusing since drivers speak very poor English and you have no idea what's going on.

The driver came on time and dropped us at the airport precisely on time, as indicated in the schedule. He managed very well despite slow traffic, which I greatly appreciated, so I made it for my flight in good time. The driver even looked out for me at Rovinj bus station, which I greatly appreciated, as I didn't know what kind of vehicle it was going to be (I thought I had booked for a big coach, and it was a nice mini-van). Friendly and efficient service, I would make this choice again.

Pula-Trieste. Driver did not speak English nor Italian and the bus arrived with 35 minute of delay in Trieste. On top of the price of the ticket 8 kunas were charged for each piece of luggage.

Rather pricey but still cheaper than taxi.. The ride was fine, on time and comfortable, buying tickets online was easy.. Having to find a place to print the tickets is a pain - the tickets are bought online, so e-tickets should be also allowed. Also, it would have been nice to have received an updated info/confirmation on the morning of departure - with the exact time and place of arrival, and the description of the vehicle that was coming to pick us up..
