Later, as we were boarding the train, an attendant asked if we were Turkish; when we said yes, he told us to wait inside and said he would move us to first class if there were any empty seats. And why is this done to Turkish citizens—is it something that isn't done to other tourists? We even have photos of the attendant; who knows how many other Turks he has victimized in this way to line his own pockets? It is certainly not normal, and the whole situation is absolutely appalling.
