Harga Tiket & Kelas Kereta Api Sri Lanka Railways
Untuk memanfaatkan perjalanan kereta api anda, pastikan untuk memilih kelas tiket anda dengan betul. Pertimbangkan tempoh perjalanan anda, masa perjalanan dan pilihan anda sendiri. Bagi perjalanan yang lebih jauh pada waktu malam, tiket kelas pertama atau kedua di dalam koc tempat tidur mungkin pilihan yang terbaik. Kedua-dua pilihan ini membolehkan anda tidur lena seselesa mungkin di dalam kereta api dan menjimatkan masa percutian anda yang berharga itu. Sila ambil maklum bahawa kadangkala tiket kelas pertama tidak boleh ditempah bagi perjalanan singkat beberapa jam untuk itinerari yang lebih panjang. - Tempahan dalam talian bagi tiket kereta api dapat menjimatkan banyak masa anda. Untuk kebanyakan destinasi, tiket boleh ditempah selama 90 hari sebelum tarikh perjalanan anda yang menjadikan perancangan lebih cekap. Namun tawaran saat akhir selalunya ada juga diberikan. Anda tidak perlu lagi pergi ke stesen kereta api untuk menempah - lakukannya di mana sahaja anda mahu
- Dalam banyak kes, tiket kereta api adalah jauh lebih berpatutan berbanding tiket penerbangan. Keburukan Perjalanan Kereta Api
- Semakin jauh jarak – semakin lama perjalanan kereta api, dan sekiranya anda perlu menempuh jarak yang agak jauh, ia akan memakan masa yang lama. Jadi kadangkala, perjalanan udara adalah alternatif yang lebih baik walaupun ianya lebih mahal.
- Pengangkutan seterusnya harus dirancang dengan berhati-hati. Walaupun biasanya jadual waktu adalah tetap, kelewatan dan pembatalan masih boleh berlaku disebabkan oleh pelbagai sebab. Lagi satu perkara yang perlu dipertimbangkan ialah lokasi stesen di mana kereta api anda tiba atau berlepas. Terdapat lebih daripada satu stesen kereta api di bandar dan lokasi tertentu, yang kadangkala boleh menyebabkan kekeliruan.
- Salah satu aduan yang paling biasa didengari mengenai kereta api pada laluan tertentu ialah isu kebersihan. Ia selalunya melibatkan koc dan kelas tandas paling murah.
- Perhentian tidak selalunya diumum atau ditanda dengan jelas dalam sesetengah perjalanan kereta api. Great service. It is worth to pay for priority support. The train ride from Kandy to Nanu Oya was an amazing experience. The train was late but that did not matter as this gave us more time to enjoy the landscape.

Overall great experience. Immediately after booking (34 days prior train departure) we received an email with a booking confirmation, however, it took very long until we received the ticket confirmation/voucher (11 days prior train departure). The shipping of tickets went smooth, however, we never received an email confirming the shipment of the tickets as it was mentioned in the ticket confirmation email.
So overall the train ride was superb, just a little bite nerve killing waiting for confirmation or hoping tickets will arrive:)

The views were amazing and the towns charming. I loved that the windows open right up making the cabin comfortable and aerated and great for photo taking.
Booking via 12go website saved us time and effort. The tickets delivered securely to our hotel too. Will definitely use 12go for future trips

The scenery was beautiful as you will have read about. Apart from the Ella rock views when leaving the station you see more of the mountains and tea estates sitting on the right if travelling from Ella to Kandy. This was however a very long slow trip of over six hours to go not much further than 150km. Our seats were at the front of the first class carriage and with one large suitcase jammed between me and the carriage end because it would not fit on the parcel shelf. Moreover each time the door opened at a station the train fumes would come into the carriage. You have to be a romantic to want to do this trip although many younger people seemed to enjoy hanging out of the doors taking selfies. I was only on this train because the one with the observation carriage was not running.
12Go however managed to get me the tickets enabling me to walk through the gate quickly and easily. I also received the money back for the ticket delivery to my hotel because they sent this ticket and another one together.
I would use 12Go again simply for peace of mind and being prepared.

Excellent service .. like clockwork. I ordered 3 sets of tickets and had them delivered to my hotel. I was refused the delivery charge for two sets of tickets as they were out in the same envelope.. very impressive.
Don't bank on definite train times as these can vary from that specified.

We bought tickets for the 1st class Kandy-Nuwara Eliya train. These tickets must be purchased in advance, and then the e-ticket must be changed to regular tickets at the station, or order delivery to the hotel. 12 Asia worked perfectly, bought and brought tickets to the hotel. When we arrived in Kandy, an envelope with tickets was waiting for us. Also, before the trip, we had some questions, they helped us to understand everything. Thank you for this service.

Very beautiful train ride! But after speaking to some locals we decided to get in at halfway instead of Kandy to Elle. So we reduced the trip from 6 to 3 hrs which was perfect for us.
Booking process was very easy. We got the tickets posted to our hotel at a fee but they texted to make sure we got the tickets which was good. You pay a bit more than locals but very happy to do that for the convenience of it!

We have used 12go.asia on a number of occasions during this current trip through Asia and, until now, have been entirely satisfied with the service and booking process. However, it didn’t go so well for this trip.
We made this booking on 1st April for a train journey which wasn’t taking place until 1st December. Whilst the receipt stated that they couldn’t guarantee getting exactly the trip and class that we requested, we figured that, given the amount of notice, 12go.asia would be on it on the day the tickets were released to ensure we got the ones we requested. We received communications on 7th November telling us that we hadn’t got the times we requested for either our outward or return journeys. We wanted an early outward journey and a late return and got the exact opposite, effectively losing two days of our stay in Galle.
We were even more disappointed when we learnt from other travellers that they had purchased tickets for the trains we wanted from the railway station and first class were still available!
There was also a lot of confusion as I was sent itineraries with different times and ending up getting very frustrated as I tried to work our exactly what trains we were actually on.
The journey itself went very smoothly, the train was late departing Colombo and arriving into Galle but, as we were already 7 hours later than we wanted to be, this became irrelevant. The First Class carriage is very comfortable and the journey along the coast is very pretty.

This review is based on the purchase of tickets and support provided by 12GoAsia. Unfortunately there was a country wide rail strike so we could not actually take the train. The support and communication provided by 12GoAsia was excellent. I would certainly use them again.

Great service. Tickets were delivered to our hotel as promised. There is an enormous mark up on the tickets but you pay for the convenience of getting the tickets you want, delivered to the location of your choosing as opposed to collection.

Tickets were delivered to hotel as arranged. The only issues were that our reserved seats were facing backwards in the direction of travel and that we did not have a window, even after booking months in advance.

We reserved tickets 1 month before depature. Because of our landing time we couldnt pick up the tickets at the Office in Colombo. After getting in touch trough email the tickets were delivered to our hotel. Superb service. We had some nice seats in the reserved cabin. The non reserved cabins were so full people were hanging outside the train. Lucky us! Thx 12go asia!

Wonderful trip from Nanuoya to Ella. Jungle, tea plantation, mountains and villages seen from the window. Seat reservation, in spite of being expensive, is worth.

Very pleasant trip through luxury green scenery. We enjoyed every moment and time passes quickly, you don't feel to be as long as 4 hours at all¡ Seat reservation was wonderful to avoid traveling on foot.
