Cabins were good, and Grouptour did well to show us the right bus and gave us some presents for our travel.
However people were laying on the floor between the cabins, blocking the toilet.
There were lots of stops to unload goods, not passengers.

Wir kamen pünktlich an und die Fahrzeuge waren in Ordnung. Die Organisation war im Verlgeich zu anderen Busreisen aber schlechter. Wir mussten selbst das Unternehmen wegen Pickup und Dropoff kontaktieren. Hierbei musste ich zwei verschiedene Nummern anschreiben, da eine plötzlich nicht mehr geantwortet hat. Wir mussten mehrmals das Fahrzeug wechseln (was vorher nicht klar war) und die Fahrer waren sehr hektisch. Alles in allem hat es aber funktioniert

Der Bus kam 1,5h zu spät an der Bushaltestelle an. Dies wurde 4h vorher von dem Busunternehmen kommuniziert. Der Busfahrer konnte die Verspätung über Nacht wieder gut machen.
Es gab ausreichend Stops.

Transfer driver and staff who told us which bus to board were extremely rude. None spoke English, which was ok as we didnt speak Vietnamese either. BUT we knew when they swore at us in our face as they were frustrated that we didn't understand what they said
When boarding the bus, the driver and controller asked for our seat number. We were not told the seat number so we didn't have it but the driver insisted that we sat at the assigned seat that we didn't know. A Norwegian women said her number was 36 but that number didn't exist in the bus. Some passengers asked to change their seats, but it wasn't allowed, although nobody sat there. After all, we paid for the service and it was horrible. You should train your staff. Everyone should have empathy and recognize we have a language barrier. The attitude was bad, there was no need to be rude just because we didn't understand one another. Toilet at the food stop was incredibly poor.

Wir sind 1,5 Stunden zu spät losgefahren. Der Bus war sauber und bequem, es gab sogar für jeden ein Wasser. Der Fahrer konnte kein Wort englisch und war auch nicht gewillt zu versuchen mit uns zu kommunizieren. Zwischendurch wurde dann eine Pause gemacht, während der alle ausgestiegen sind und sich essen gekauft haben, nur wir wussten nicht was los ist. Vor der Abfahrt konnten wir im Büro noch klären, dass wir nicht beim drop off, sondern direkt bei unserem Home stay abgesetzt wurden. Das hat dann auch problemlos funktioniert

Wir wurden mit kleinem Van zum Grißen bus gefahren. Hat alles super geklappt. Der Bus hat irgendwann rinfach für 30 min gestoppt, was echt nervig war.. . Sonst war die Busfahrt gut und die Plätze waren ebenfalls gut.

Der Sao Viet VIP22-Bus war sauber und bequem. Ist halt etwas zu kurz für Leute über 180, aber diagonal im Bett ging es mit 186. Personal war freundlich. Wir hatten etwas Verspätung, für die Strecke aber ok. Ist definitiv zu empfehlen.

Zusammengefasst bin ich zufrieden. Der Bus fuhr eine halbe Stunde später und ein paar hundert Meter entfernt ab. Netterweise zeigte ein Mitarbeiter mir den Weg und half sogar meinen Koffer dorthin zu tragen.

Ba und es war die schnellste Option mit 10h Fahrtzeit.
Start sollte 07:30 sein, der Bus stand im Depot, los ging es aber erst um. 08:00.
Der Fahrer und ein Helfer diskutierten lange, was sie mit meinem Ticket machen sollten, Ha Long stand am Bus, zumindest die Richtung stimmte.
Es gab 2 Pausen bis Hai Phong, das war ok. Es dauerte aber schon 9h, ständig gab es Stopps zum Ein- bzw Aussteigen.
In Hai Phong dann umstieg in einen einfachen Stadtbus, der zur Fähre fuhr. Die Schaffnerin wusste, wo aus aussteigen musste. Und sie sprach eine Mitfahrende an, die mich zur Fähre brachte und das Geld für das Fährticket und den nächsten Bus hatte. Auf Cat Ba dann wieder ein einfacher Stadtbus. Nach 13h war ich dann am Ziel in der Stadt Cat Ba. Alles eine schöne Erfahrung mit freundlichen Vietnamesen.
Aber nicht das, was ich gebucht hatte.

I booked online late at night for next morning. I received a confirmation early next morning and went to the travel agency 30’ before departure time. We left 15’ after the scheduled time, changed two times into mini vans and arrived a little later than the scheduled arrival time. All was good and organized.

Bus left over an hour later than advertised, had to stop for fuel right away, made lots of unscheduled stops, took 2 hours longer than described. Bus was comfortable enough but not great for people over 5’10, couldn’t sit up in the upper level and couldn’t fit feet in the semi-sleeper compartment. Vehicle was tidy and they provided water bottles. They also provided a shuttle van to our hotel once we arrived in Mui Ne for free - that was nice.

The pickup from the location was a bit confusing and hectic. You didnt really know what bus belongs to what company. Once on the road everything seemed fine. The sleeping seat was spacious and comfortable. While sleeping we suddenly woke up by a big bang. Glas from a shattered window was over my wife on the bed next to me. We aren’t sure what exactly happened whether the bus hit a streetpole when coming off the road a bit or if it hit another truck while passing. Accidents can happen though and we are glad my wife didnt get injured. Almost a miracle in my opinion since a big sharp piece of window glass ended up right next to my wife’s face. The bus kept driving for a minute before coming to a stop. During that stop we told the bus driver with the help of google translate that the window on the upper back right seat was shattered. They didnt seem to care. Since the bus was completely full and some laying even on the ground there was no other space for her to go so we shared the same bed/seat for the rest of the trip back to Ha Noi. After some time someone came to clean the glass of the seat and tried to tape the window from outside the bus in order to prevent further damage to the window i guess. On the rest of the drive we kept stoping for a little bit to apply more tape etc. Around half an hour before arriving at the drop off location we got asked to change to a van that will drop us off at the destination. The van was completely full though so my wife, i and a third passenger ended up having to stand inside the van. Overall we aren’t happy how things went but I think if the accident hadn’t had happened the overall experience would have been 4 stars instead of 2 with the pick up procedure being the only criticism.

Wir sind pünktlich angekommen und der Bus war sauber, gepflegt und gut klimatisiert. Es fehlte etwas an Kommunikation (wir mussten zwischendurch den Bus wechseln, es gab keine Anzeige wohin der Bus fährt...) und teilweise war die Fahrweise des Fahrers sehr rasant (landestypisch). Grundsätzlich eine gute Wahl. Für zeitkritische Transporte sollte lieber ein höherer Zeitpuffer gewählt werden!

The operator was 1h delayed but managed to arrive 1h30min early. It was almost impossible to get any sleep as the driver was honking all the way, making overtakes on turns and sometimes speeding, the bus was shaking a lot all the time.
We also stopped in a nice gas station where we only had few minutes to use the toilet, even thou they had food there, then we stopped in a pretty bad, dirty and overpriced place to get some food, just 10 minutes later. Felt like they have some deal to take the passengers to this place. Tough ride.

The bus was about 30 minutes late but picked us up where indicated. The driver drove very fast and a bit reckless, however nothing happened. Having the front seat was not a good idea, as you can see too much (the driver being on the phone, the driving, etc.)
There were seatbelts but the size seemed to have been made for a child. I could not fit them. The car hat more people than seats. Two children travelled on the laps of their parents. There was the AC blasting on full but people were super friendly and quiet.
At one point, about 10minutes from the drop-off we were asked to switch vehicles even though this was not indicated in our journey. The driver did not speak much english but put our luggage in the new car. The new driver was super friendly, asked us which place we were staying and then dropped us off there. We appreciated this a lot, as it was already dark upon arriv-al (approx. 40 minutes later than scheduled). All in all an average experience. Next time we think of booking a bigger bus, at the driving seemed to be more comfortable there (but the journey takes longer).

It was a bit misleading because the shuttle stopped- and switched vehicles- 3 times before actually arriving at our destination. The stops ranged from 5 minutes to 30 minutes so it took a fair amount longer to get to our destination than advertised. The vehicles were fine/comfortable. Would recommend giving yourself extra time with all the vehicle changes

The bus was old and quite dirty. No possibility to charge phone and no reading light. This would not be a problem on shorter trip but this was a 12 hour ride.

Bus at 11.45 from Tam Coc doesn’t exist according to the ladies in The Long hotel office. There is only one at 12.30 which showed up 15min late. We made several stops along the way to pick up some packages, the drivers cigarettes, … but I reckon that’s just the way it is. We still arrived a the promised time, which was good.

Alter Bus, Klimaanlage überm Kopf dröhnte extrem laut. Ständig wurde angehalten um Pakete oder Leute aus dem Bus zu lassen. Pakete lagen im Gang, zusätzlich Menschen im Gang (Überbucht).
Wenigstens pünktlich.

Got us to where we wanted to go, however concerning that the drive was drinking beers at each of the stops enroute to Hanoi from Sapa. At one of the toll stations on the highway he didn't stop and smashed into the boom gate. Maybe tour operator should tell drivers not to drink alcohol when transporting people!

We have the Bus 33. Actually the Best Bus in Vietnam. Very clean, enough space also for people higher than 1,8m, and comfortable. Also enough break are planned. BUT the driver and his co-driver: I think it's part of the basic training that you're aggressive and evil. And he hooked the bus non-stop. Really. Non-stop.

There was a lack of communication with this service compared to other services. We think our coach was cancelled and the staff wouldn’t tell us, they just told us to keep waiting until the next bus arrived. We were pushed onto that bus but we didn’t have seats for that one so were pushed to the back. Arrived at the destination almost 2 hours later than expected.

Online ticket said bus was going to leave at 7pm, got to office and the office said it was 7:30. Told bus was delayed until 8pm, then 8:15pm, bus finally showed at 8:40pm
Booked VIP bus - it was just a standard bus, overcrowded not your typical VIP or anything like pictures
Ticket also says direct to Da Nang (assuming same for Hoi An) - it is not direct - bus stops at Huw for an hour 7am to 8am and you have to get off with all your luggage (people waiting here trying to try take you into town for breakfast) thought the sleeper bus was coming back but its a tiny mini van they cram you into and pick up locals on the way
