밤에 꼬사무이에서 방콕으로 가는 페리를 탔습니다. 티켓을 인쇄할 필요는 없었어요. 페리는 정시에 도착했고, 기차 환승도 쉽게 찾을 수 있었습니다 (기차는 30분 정도 늦었지만, 뭐 그럴 수도 있죠). 3등석 기차는 정말 별로였어요. 밤새도록 불이 켜져 있고, 환풍기는 계속 켜져 있는데 끌 수도 없었어요. 창문도 열려 있어서 꽤 추웠고, 바깥 소음도 차단할 수 없었고요. 좌석은 불편하고 2인 1열로 마주 보고 있어서 편히 잘 수가 없었습니다. 사람들이 여러 가지 음식과 음료(커피)를 팔러 오는데, 미리 사두는 게 좋긴 하지만, 밤에는 20분마다 와서 소리를 지르며 팔아서 잠을 잘 수가 없었어요. 화장실은 청소도 안 되어 있고 휴지도 없었지만, 기차에서는 어쩔 수 없다고 생각했습니다. 2등석 좌석도 봤는데 좀 나아 보이긴 했지만, 침대칸을 예약하지 않으면 기차 여행은 추천하지 않습니다. 가장 저렴한 선택이었지만 다시는 이용하지 않을 거예요. 심야 버스 좌석이 훨씬 편했고 소음도 적었어요.

The transfer from my hotel in ko samui to nathon pier was good. When we arrived to the pier, the woman in the pier told Us that we could board on the boat at 13:00h ( and not at 14:00h as the ticket I bought) So when we arrived to Donsak pier there was no a bus waiting for Us. I undestood beacause We got on the bout one hour earlier, but the thing that I didnt understand is that the bus arrived to te bus stop when We were waiting for a while and we wanted to ask for the transfer to the driver and he didnt open the door. It was very hot outside and I was with my wife and my 6 years old son. One hour later I took a photo of the bus and then, they opened the door and two of the employees where staring and laughing of me in a bad mood. When my wife asked then the time that the bus leave they said that they didnt know and started laughing again. 39 minutes later the bus left and the got to surat thani town.

Location of where to get boat on Google maps was incorrect leading to a lot of confusion and stress. Journey was OK and bus was easy to find after for transfer.

It's easy to buy a ticket and get on the ferry. There's an air-conditioned area on the ferry and outside, and you can also buy food at the mini-store. Everything was on time, I recommend it.

Smooth crossing on the top deck only spoilt by selfish people lying over a full seat to sunbathe while others didn’t have a seat! The staff should tell them to get up!
