Wir kamen an, haben auch über viele Umwege das bekommen was wir gebucht haben aber bei 3,5h Verspätung, die definitiv nicht an Stau oder ähnlichem lag sondern an falscher Organisation eigentlich nicht in Ordnung.

Overall it was a positive experience. We read so many bad reviews that we were ready for the worst. We took the bus from Ninh Binh/Tam Coc to Ha Giang. It wasn’t the VIP Cabin sleeper we paid for but it was a normal sleeper, we were disappointed but it was quite comfortable anyway. After 1hr they made us change bus, we stopped on the side of a highway and changed into a cabin vip. Pretty intense experience to pee on the sidewalk of a highway since there is no toilet on the bus. We arrived 2hr earlier, and apparently it always happen. Overal the driving was good and not too much honking. Always get the VIP option.
The bus arrived 1h late at the pick up point and 3h late to the destination.
We tried to contact 12go hotline through whatsapp and nobody ever answered.

The ride was okay. The bus arrived 30 min late at the pick up an in total we were 2h late. At least we got drop off directly at our hostel. The seats are comfortable and we felt safe even if the friendly driver honked along the whole trip.

We were picked up from our hotel and also dropped off to our hotel at destination, which was great. We had to change vans many times though and I cannot say that drivers drive safe at all, very unnecessary override at all times - however, that seems to be part of the driving culture here so might not be possible to avoid. We were late of schedule maybe 45 mins so not bad. Communication through whatsapp was fast abd efficient!

Bus arrived 30 minute late and took 2 hours more then expected. Besides that, I was dropped in a random busstop 40 minute walk to my hostel while it said to dropoff at the hostel…

Easy to find options, find locations and purchase the ticket.
Great communication from the bus company before boarding.
Ability to be dropped at the hostel, simply asking the driver while on the way.

It was fine. But could have been a smoother experience.
First, the location supplied suggests the pickup is at the travel shop, to which I arrived 45mins prior to pickup time. 20 minutes after the ‘departure’ time the people in the shop suddenly said I have should hop on the back of a bike with them (with my heavy luggage) to drive 2km to the actual bus stop. I was confused and not happy with this, and after me being stern (which I usually don’t have to be) they ordered a taxi for me which was very comfortable and honestly should have been the first solution.
The bus was there to pick me up, but it did smell like urine. It felt like a local bus as no one spoke English or tried to properly communicate. Because of this I chose to not get off at the stops for break because at this point, I didn’t really understand what was going on and just hoping that I was going the right way. There were also numerous other random stops for what reason unknown.
We then arrived 2.5 hours after the supposed drop off time.
Besides these things, it was fine and I would do the trip again even on the same bus, but I’d choose a different organiser.
First experience for us in a night sleeping bus, it was very good. Trip from Ninh Binh to Ha Giang. Comfortable and clean, good drive (as it can be in Vietnam). They give water bottle. No people sleeping on the floor (as I read somewhere). Left us directly at the homestay. I recommend it.
