Everything went smoothly from start to finish. The departure was perfectly on time, and we were given a bottle of water on the bus. There was also a 20-minute break during the journey. We also had a very friendly guide who accompanied us throughout the whole journey. He explained everything clearly, told us about each stage of the trip and always let us know what we would be doing next, which made the whole experience very easy and stress-free. The transfer to Cat Ba was very well organised, including the speedboat/ferry to the island. What pleasantly surprised me the most was that all passengers were then dropped off directly at their hotels — I honestly wasn’t expecting that at all! I was very pleasantly surprised by the whole experience. Everything was well organised, comfortable and punctual. I highly recommend this service and will definitely use it again whenever I travel in Asia.

The overall journey was on time, bus elements of the trip were comfortable and relaxing however the same can not be said for the boat element. As the boat after sunset it was dark, no lights inside the boat whatsoever, what I was most concerned about however is that the driver didn’t see a Massive floating Navigation Aid which had clear flashing green lights and we ended up slamming into it at speed. This jolted the boat cause discomfort and concern for ourselves and a lot of other people. This incident wasn’t even acknowledged by the crew and no apology given which is quite concerning. If it wasn’t for 1 member of the crew shouting at the driver to turn it would have been full head on collision which could have turned out much worse.
