L'ufficio phantip dove si devono ritirare i biglietti prima di prendere il traghetto è fastidiosamente lontano dal molo, per fortuna il nostro autista ci ha aspettato e ci ha portato direttamente lì.
Il traghetto su cui siamo saliti era molto grande, scorrevole, con negozi a bordo e servizi igienici.
Dopo essere usciti dal traghetto siamo stati trasferiti su un grande autobus, ma dopo un po' di tempo di guida siamo dovuti scendere e salire su un furgone che ci ha portato a Khao sok.
Nel complesso, per gli standard thailandesi, il viaggio è stato abbastanza buono, ma è un peccato che ti facciano cambiare mezzo di trasporto e aspettare.

The phantip office where you have to collect your tickets before getting the ferry is annoyingly far away from the pier, luckily our driver waited and took us straight there though.
The ferry we were on was very large, smooth ride, shop on board and had toilets.
We were then transferred onto a large bus after exiting the ferry, after a while driving we all had to get off and swap into a van than took us to Khao sok
Overall by Thai standards the trip was fairly good but it'd a shame they make you swap transport and wait around

In tutto il viaggio ci sono stati 3 cambi di trasporto. 1. Il traghetto è andato bene 2. Dal molo a Surat Thani abbiamo avuto un autista molto cattivo, che urlava ai passeggeri. 3. Il terzo mini van era molto scomodo. Eravamo stipati sul retro insieme ai bagagli di tutti i passeggeri. Inoltre, all'interno faceva molto caldo.

Whole trip had 3 transport changes. 1. Ferry was fine 2.From pier to Surat Thani we had really mean driver, who screamed at passengers. 3. The third mini van was very uncomfortable. We were crammed in the back along with all the passengers' luggage. Additionally, it was very hot inside.

Semplicemente il peggior viaggio che abbia mai fatto nel sud-est asiatico. Il traghetto andava benissimo, il problema è la compagnia che Raja utilizza per il trasferimento tra Donsak e Khao Sok. C'erano 5 (!!!) diversi mezzi di trasporto per questa parte del viaggio, e quando ho chiesto perché dovevamo cambiare di nuovo, sono stato accolto da un uomo molto arrabbiato che continuava a dire come ti chiami in modo aggressivo. Simply the worst journey I have had in my time travelling south east Asia. The ferry was absolutely fine, it’s the company Raja use for the transfer between Donsak and Khao Sok that is the issue. There was 5 (!!!) different forms of transport to get on for this part of the journey, upon asking why we have to change again, I was greeted by a very angry man who kept saying what’s your name aggressively. Everything went very smooth and we were always pointed to the right vans during our two transfers. We even arrived half an hour early on our destination. The only thing that was less pleasant was that the second minibus smelled like feet the entire time

Taxi e traghetto sono stati eccellenti. Puntuali e veloci nel trasferimento. Anche il minivan dal molo a surathani è andato bene. A Surathani abbiamo dovuto aspettare quasi 1 ora e abbiamo dovuto pagare 280TB in più perché avevamo un bagaglio senza ruote, che è un sacco di soldi! Eravamo consapevoli che avremmo potuto pagare un po' di più, ma non così tanto. Inoltre, ci è sembrato abbastanza ingiusto visto che le nostre valigie erano grandi quanto alcuni zaini. Il secondo minivan ha fatto una deviazione, ma si è fermato sulla strada per una pausa bagno, il che è stato piacevole.

Taxi and ferry where excellent. Right on time and fast transfer. The minivan from the pier to surathani was fine as well. At surathani, we had to wait for almost 1 hout and we needed to pay 280TB extra because we have luggage om wheels, which is a lot of money! We were aware that we might had to pay a little extra, but not this much. Moreover, it felt quite unfair since our bags were just as big as some of the backpacks. The second minivan took a detour, but stopper on the road for a toilet break, which was nice.

Koh Samui - khao sok. Il check-in è stato facile in ufficio, la barca è stata puntuale e abbastanza comoda per essere un traghetto per auto. Il cambio di autobus è stato il punto in cui la situazione è peggiorata. Siamo stati messi in un autobus bello grande, dopo 30 minuti ci è stato detto che solo quelli per l'aeroporto in quell'autobus, abbastanza scortesemente mandato fuori. Poi ci hanno contato e ci hanno fatto entrare, ma ora non potevamo sederci vicini. L'autobus era comodo e ci hanno portato all'ufficio phantip in città, abbiamo aspettato circa 30 minuti e lì abbiamo potuto comprare dei panini abbastanza buoni. Abbiamo ricevuto poche informazioni su quale pulmino salire, ma alla fine è arrivato il nostro, che era pieno solo per metà. L'autista si è fermato un sacco di volte per far salire gente del posto o consegnare pacchi ecc. Guidava come un pazzo, il che sembra essere lo standard per gli autisti di furgoni in Thailandia. Siamo arrivati alla "stazione dei furgoni" fuori Khao Sok. Credo che ci abbiano offerto di pagare 100 baht in più o qualcosa del genere a persona per essere accompagnati agli hotel. Abbiamo camminato per 15 minuti, una bella passeggiata. Siamo arrivati circa 15-30 minuti prima dell'orario previsto. Non aspettatevi un buon servizio o di ricevere informazioni sufficienti per sapere dove andare in qualsiasi momento.

Koh Samui - khao sok. Check in was easy at the office, the boat was on time and quite comfy for a car ferry. Changing to the bus was where it gone downhill. We got put in a nice big bus, after 30 minutes we were told only those to the airport in that bus, quite rudly sent out. Then they counted us and we were let in, now we didn't get to sit next to each other. The bus was comfy and driven to the phantip office in town, we waited maybe 30 minutes, able to buy quite good sandwiches there. Little bad information about what van to get on etc, but finally ours came and it was just half full. The driver stopped plenty of times to pick up locals or drop off parcels etc. Drove like a madman, which seems to be the standard for van drivers in Thailand. We arrived at the "van station" outside khao sok. I think we were offered to pay 100 baht more or something per person to be driven to the hotels. We just walked the 15 minutes, a nice walk. We arrived about 15-30 minutes before scheduled time. Don't expect good service or to get information enough to know where to go at any time.
