Julia It left late, the journey said two buses and in between them two we got someone telling us to get into their car (which we were not informed about and felt so dodgy). The staff on the bus station before the second bus were really rude and unhelpful, and kept pushing the departure time back.

Sydney CI booked the VIP service from Khao Sok to Bangkok. It was fairly pricy compared to flights (41€) but I wasn’t able to fly and wanted the possibility to recline my seat. The van picked me up 10min early and drove to Surat Thani. The bus arrived on time in northern Bangkok. It wasn’t the most modern bus but you got some snacks on board and I was able to get some sleep. Would recommend to wear long pants/ hoodie as it was fairly cold. Also the bathroom wasn’t clean but that is to be somewhat expected.

Richa SDrive was smooth, but that lady(at bus departure place) was looting people for over luggage, no doubts it was mentioned in terms that in luggage policy, but it should be weight or size not both, no tourist will have only a cabin baggage for their trip. And there was no clear mention of who will pickup from where, we were just clueless about everything regarding the van drops, we were transfer from 2 locations in van(in between we waited like and hour on first drop without knowing who will pick us up) then reach to bus departure place, van and bus drive was nice but management was bit questionable. overall we reach on time so it was fine.

Lisa TYou are looked after to an extent but treated a little like cattle. They tried to make us pay extra for a taxi at one point. The bus I was in was uncomfortable & my seat wouldn't recline but I guess I was unlucky there.
