China Railway Precios de los Billetes y Clases del Tren
Para aprovechar tu viaje en tren al máximo, selecciona cuidadosamente la clase de tu billete. Ten en cuenta la duración del viaje, los horarios y tus preferencias. Para viajes nocturnos largos, los billetes de primera o segunda clase en un coche-cama pueden ser la mejor solución. Esta solución te permite dormir cómodamente en el tren durante toda la noche y ahorrar tiempo valioso del día en tus vacaciones. Recuerda que, en algunos casos, no se pueden reservar billetes de primera clase para trayectos cortos (de un par de horas) que formen parte de un itinerario largo de tren. Estos suelen estar reservados para los pasajeros que realizan todo el trayecto desde principio a fin. Sin embargo, una litera de segunda clase, que incluso puede ser blanda, es una buena alternativa si tu destino se alcanza en 4 o 5 horas. Revisa lo que está incluido en el precio. Los viajes nocturnos pueden incluir, pero no siempre, la ropa de cama, las toallas, el agua, los refrigerios y los artículos de aseo. Es bueno llevar ropa de abrigo a bordo, en caso de que el aire acondicionado o la calefacción no estén adaptados a tus necesidades.

Las Ventajas de Viajar en Tren
- Viajar en tren es una solución ideal para evitar el tráfico. Si bien pueden ocurrir retrasos por diversos motivos, en general, las horas punta, los fines de semana largos y las temporadas altas no te impedirán llegar a tiempo si viajas en tren.
- Puedes ahorrarte mucho tiempo reservando tus billetes de tren online. Se pueden reservar billetes para muchos destinos hasta 90 días antes de la fecha de viaje, esto te permite planificar con comodidad. También hay ofertas de última hora y no es necesario ir a la estación de tren: reserva fácilmente desde donde quiera que te encuentres.
- En muchos casos, los billetes de tren son más económicos que los de avión. Para determinadas rutas, la duración del viaje en tren de alta velocidad es igual a la de un avión o, incluso, el trayecto completo dura menos, si se tiene en cuenta el tiempo que se pasa en el aeropuerto para el check-in y para los trámites de seguridad y/o aduanas.
- A menudo, las estaciones de tren están situadas en el centro de la ciudad. Esto puede ahorrarte tiempo en el traslado a tu alojamiento. Además, las estaciones de tren más antiguas suelen tener valor y ambiente histórico. Utilizar estas estaciones puede convertirse en una oportunidad para visitar lugares interesantes dentro de tu plan de viaje.
- Una noche en tren, además de dejar libres las horas del día para hacer cosas más interesantes, es una buena forma de reducir tus gastos de hotel. Además, si viajas en coche-cama, dormirás bastante bien. Seguramente mejor que en un autobús-cama.
- Algunas rutas están cubiertas por trenes de lujo, esta es sin duda una experiencia que hay que probar al menos una vez en la vida.
Las Desventajas de Viajar en Tren
- Cuanto mayor sea la distancia, más se alarga el viaje en tren. Si la distancia es bastante considerable, el viaje requerirá demasiado tiempo. Por eso a veces viajar en avión es una mejor opción, aunque sea más costoso.
- La conexión con el medio de transporte que le sigue al tren debe planificarse con sumo cuidado. Aunque los horarios de tren suelen ser fijos, es posible que se produzcan retrasos y cancelaciones por diversos motivos. Otro aspecto a tener en cuenta es la ubicación de la estación de la que sale o llega el tren. En algunas ciudades y localidades hay más de una estación de tren, y esto puede causar confusión.
- Una de las quejas más comunes sobre los trenes que cubren ciertas rutas tienen que ver con la limpieza. Se refieren sobre todo a las clases de tren más baratas y a la limpieza de los baños.
- En algunos de los trayectos de tren, las paradas no siempre se anuncian o se indican claramente. Las pantallas electrónicas resolverían fácilmente este problema, pero no siempre están presentes. Por eso, asegúrate de rastrear tu parada con el GPS o, si puedes, pregunta al conductor.

Please reimburse my ticket because instead of 6 hrs it was 1 day and 6 hrs. had to pay for sleeping over night. It is a big mistake and huge mistake sending people in 30 hrs trip when it is said on the ticket when I bought, that it will be 6 hrs ride but it was 6 hrs plus 24 hrs, arriving 18.15 next day, not he same day. Slowest possible train to do 1000 km in 30 hrs.

Excellent train, right on time and very comfortable in first class - for a small additional cost this is recommended especially when travelling with someone else. 12Go Asia instructions were very clear and it was easy to pick up tickets for all China trains at the first station ie Nanning East (again, it’s recommend to collect all tickets from one station when using multiple trains)

Going with the speed of 299km/h from Shanghai to Beijing with this train. I took first class but the price is reasonable. Relaxing ride, drinks and snacks served. Well done, 4 stars. The view between the 2 cities is quite boring. The cost is one star.

We received the tickets 4 days before departure.
We were delayed by one hour, but the information provided on board regarding the delay was clear. We took this service another time as well, with no issues.
The train was very spacious.
However, we were not given any choice of seats, which meant that the two of us were not seated together but On either side of the main aisle. There were empty seats available, though.

There were no issues during the journey, and the train was very spacious.

check in with passport did not work. Finally they sorted it out but didnt speak English so i didnt know what was going on, I got on the train in the nick of time. train is great, fast, comfortable but the stress of being there early and nearly missing the train because the system didn't work spoilt it for me

It was supposed to be first class, but you had to wait in line with everyone else, except business class passengers. The back of the seat was hard. The train was quiet and did not induce discomfort for me. There were sick bags in the pocket. I rarely if ever get seasick. The train seems to be built for higher speeds than it travelled at. Mobile phone availability was very spotty once the train entered the mountains. Many long tunnels after about 1/3 of the distance. Although at the stations this line is called the Lao-China Railway, on the train they consistently say China-Lao Railway.

The ticket shouldn’t be sold here from Kunming if the paper ticket for foreigners needs to be collected from Kunming South! It was quite confusing and stressful when we checked the ticket the night before and in the end decided to take a risk and head direct to Kunming South. Thankfully this was the right thing to do and we were allowed to board but who knows what would have happened if we’d gone to Kunming Station…

The train was great, very comfortable seats fast journey, everything on time. The problem was at the station. Luang Prabang station is a starting point for several international trains. As a result, it has something approaching airport style security, very lax in some ways but can be quite pedantic if you are stopped for a check. I was, and they confiscated an aerosol deodorant I’d been using (I thought it pretty, but wasn’t overly bothered). But they also confiscated a small Swiss Army knife that has travelled with me halfway around the world, via several airports, many other buses and trains and 3 border crossings without issue. Someone in Laos is going to get a very nice present at my expense. I wouldn’t mind, but unlike an airport, they do not separate domestic from international travellers. I was not leaving the country. The penknife was in the baggage that would have gone in the hold had I been travelling by air. As I was leaving the check area, I heard the lady next to me complaining that they were taking the table knife she’s been using to eat her food with. It’s all so petty and pointless.

The train is great, but for the train station in Shenzhen, you need to do a dry run if you plan on using the metro to get there and carry heavy luggage, otherwise you may walk a long time before finding your way to the station.
