Sihanoukville to Kep Destination Reviews

J
No taxi picked us up at the place nor the time we had pre-booked. Found a travel company nearby cooperating with SIMA car taxi. They called a taxi so after 30 min a taxi arrived, but appeared that the driver thought we Would go to a complete other city, so after another 15 min of waiting we had to leave that taxi and wait again for another taxi to Kep. So we went after an hour delay. The tour and driver was good except from bad road 20 km. If I had not found the travel company I should probably still be waiting for the taxi. Dont prebook with SIMA car taxi. Better to find a taxi at Sihanoukville port when you get there and probably cheaper as well..

Champa Tourist Bus ran a great service but the road between Sihanoukville and Kampot is disgraceful. The local government ought to be ashamed of themselves for leaving it in that condition. There is no proper surface so you bounce along on deep, rocky potholes for about 2 and a half hours. The driver did his best with the conditions and left on time. I feel sorry for locals who have to use this road.

Our trip was meant to take 2hours 15 min to reach Kep. Our bus was nearly two hours late. Once we were on our way we quickly came across an extremely rough road. I’m Talking huge pot holes that meant we could only travel 10km an hour…. This went on for no less than 3 hours!! We finally arrived at Kep after a 5.5 hour very rough journey plus the 2 hours we had to wait. If we had been told about the road and how long it would take we would have expected it . We have to travel back on that road in two days to catch a flight so will allow at least 6 hours to get there. The road apparently is not going to be fixed for at least another year

Overfilled Minivan, 10 people with luggage. Almost no space for legs. AC worked semi-well.
