Mama Travel & Tour runs a minivan service between Bangkok and Ayutthaya and Pattaya as well as offering tours from Bangkok. Helpfully, these services terminate in the centre of Pattaya so you should be pretty close to your hotel and will not be required to pay extra for a tuk-tuk to take you from the drop-off point on the edge of town as is the case with some other travel operators across the country.

Although these services are competitively priced, the tickets still cost more than travelling by train so those on a tight budget may prefer the slightly slower train ride.
