Aroma Ticket Prices & Bus Classes
One of the best things about bus travel is that you can almost tailor-make your trip adjusting it to your requirements for privacy and comfort. Different classes and types of buses cater to the different needs of travellers. The cheapest trips are normally offered by standard-class buses. They may be called local, express or ordinary. These are a good choice for shorter trips. Sleepers or VIP coaches are good both for longer and overnight trips. They may offer berths or wide soft reclining seats, sometimes with built-in massage options, blankets, soft drinks, and snacks, or more substantial meals on board or during toilet or refuelling stops. Travelling by night buses allows you to save on a hotel room, but to ensure the most comfortable ride do choose the class of your bus wisely. Prices always depend on the distance you ride and the type of coach. For some, even shorter trips, it is worth investing some extra money and buying a seat on a VIP bus as it can save you twice as much time as you spend travelling by an ordinary bus.

Pros of Bus Travel
- Bus is the best choice to get to destinations that are not connected by rail or planes. The network of buses often covers almost the whole country, and their routes are well and long-established.
- Opposite to air travel and sometimes rail travel, taking a bus does not require arriving at the bus station much in advance. Check-in, even on international routes, does not take much time. Luggage allowances are usually very traveller-friendly, and the fee for extra luggage, if limits are set, is normally not very high.
- Bus tickets can be more affordable compared to air or fast train tickets. There is always a choice of ticket classes for all pockets. Cheaper standard options may be a bit slow and do not offer top comfort, but anyway acceptable and bring you to your destination. On longer routes, toilets or toilet stops as well as snacks, water, and sometimes toiletries and blankets are almost always included in the price.
- If you are ready to spend more, some VIP coaches offer seating comparable to business class on a plane with wide soft reclining seats, blankets, fewer passengers, and many other perks to make your trip a pleasant journey.
Cons of Bus Travel
- Newer intercity bus terminals are very often located out of the city close to bigger highways to allow buses to avoid city congestion. Unfortunately, it may create extra challenges for travellers, too. Getting to such a terminal may be a problem as in some destinations there are restrictions on vehicles allowed to enter the terminal, and you will have to use special carriers to get there. This results in higher costs as prices may be inflated. Also do calculate extra time if you are travelling during rush hours, especially if you are not familiar with the traffic situation at your starting point.
- Buses are probably the means of transport which runs out of schedule more often than trains or planes. They are heavily dependent on the road situation which sometimes can be unpredictable – accidents, road construction works, detours, etc. This is especially true for travels during weekends, high season, or national holidays. Do keep this in mind and do not plan tight connections.
- Travelling on certain routes or during the most popular periods may require advanced booking. Bear in mind that it is not always possible to show up at the bus station and hop on the next bus – tickets may well be all sold out, so organize your trip accordingly.

A good bus to a wrong place. Everything except for the destination. I was sure I bought a ticket to Central Sarajevo, but ended up in Pale 30km away from my intended destination. Thanks to locals, the case was solved quick - and I went with a taxi for additional 15e.

Eventual arrival. No power sockets - power, or USB No internal Wi-fi Rubbish and trash not removed from a previous journey. No tray - fixed to the seat in front. Very cramped seating, my knees were hard against the back of the seat in front.

I had an accomodation in the historical center of Sarajevo. I tried to find out where the bus would pass and I could not find any details on getbybus. So I took a taxi very early in the morning to go to the bus station in Sarajevo East. Then I found out that the bus went through Sarajevo Central Bus Station and stopped there as well as in the historical center (near the City Hall). This would have saved me an 8 euro taxi ride and an hour of traveling. Is there a way for getbybus to provide more details about the routes? It would be very helpful. I find your website really good and have used it several times for train/bus trips in the Balkans. Thanks a lot!

En réservant les billets il était marque qu’il ne reste que deux dernière billets mais le bus etait. Reservation vite et sécuritaire avec possibilité de changer ou annuler pour une autre voyage. Souvent on trouve qu’il n y a plus de places disponible mais dans le bus ou billeterie on trouve le bus moitie plein et ca provoque la confusion pour planifier le voyages.

The bus does not go to the correct destination. The bus had good legroom, seats where comfy enough and had OK AC. Getbybus order confirmation included a Google map pin of the bus stop. There is no bus station in Višegrad, the bus stop is an old shed with no signs or indications on it. The instructions from our booking included a Google map pin thankfully, otherwise it wouldn't be clear. The bus was 15minutes late which would be acceptable only if there had been some shade under a proper bus stop. 3MK for each luggage should be included in the online ticket to save needing to use cash.

wrong information about ride. First of all Visegrad Cuprija was not first stop. They beginning from another place in Visegrad. Bus was late on half an hour from start. Arrived in Sarajevo one hour later if schedule. Bus come to Istocno Sarajevo bus station - opposite your information You used words Bus Terminal in your site but in general these words are never used in life: not maps, not direction signs. It’s very confusing when i try to find out it.

Misleading. The price. Thebus was meant to do only 3 stops and be at Sarajevo bus station (in the town centre) at 15:32 hrs. It made more than 10 stops and ended the ride at the bus station in East Sarajevo at 16:10hrs. I has to take a bus for 1hr to get to the location it was meant to be.

Tokom puta trebalo je sve vreme da radi klima. Posli smo u 10:15 a stigli u 16:50. Vozac je bio odlican. Visegrad mora da ima makar neki info pult gde mogu da se kupe karte. Čekati autobus po najvećoj vrućini bez ikakvog zaklona je strašno, posebno kad se na put ide sa malim detetom. Ukoliko se ne kupi online karta preko ovog sajta, lako možete da dođete u situaciju da nema mesta u autobusu a iz Višegrada imaju samo dva polaska i to jedan u 1:10 posle ponoći a drugi u 10:10 časova ujutru. Takođe je strašno da u gradu ne postoji autobuska stanica već stajališta na kojima čekate autobus. Manja mesta i to mesta koja nemaju atrakcije kao što je Višegrad imaju svoje stanice i mislim da mora nešto pod hitno da se po ovom pitanju promeni.

Bus broke down on the side of the road for 4 hours, driver didn't even try to communicate. The driver didn't try to explain what was happening, how long it would take, if theres option to call a Taxi. I missed my connecting bus in Belgrade and had to pay to stay a night.

Very slow and uncomfortable bus ride. Bus driver could not read english and did not know what to do with our getbybus printouts. Eventually he just wrote out two tickets for us. Tickets that we print out should be in language of bus company as well as english. This journey started at a bus station well outside the city which we needed to take a taxi to. The bus then come right back to the center of the city and passed our hotel. This bus stops at every little village along the way and totally bypasses the major highways. This 9 hour journey could probably be done in 3 hours by car. If you can, avoid this bus.

if you can avoid, don't travel with Aroma. We arrived with almost 2 hours delay in Sarajevo. Instead of going to the central bus station of Sarajevo the bus stopped at a bus station out of Sarajevo close to the airport, which forced us to take a public transport bus for 45 minutes to get to the city centre. The aroma bus took many detours, picked up some friends of the bus driver and dropped them off randomly. All in all very annoying. If you have another option, don't go with aroma.

Autobusi stari, prljavi i neudobni. Sjedišta nemoguće namjestiti u bilo koji drugi položaj. Ruta je jako loše osmišljena i put predugo traje pogotovo jer vozače boli briga kad će se stići na odredište. Do Ustiprače je potrebno 1h 40min sa autobusne stanice u I.Sarajevu, a mi smo se vozili makar 2,5h. Pauze se prave kada njima odgovara i koliko njima odgovara, umjesto dogovorenih 20 min, ostali smo 1h jer su vozači “zasjeli” u ugostiljskom objektu sa svojim kolegama vozačima iz drugog busa koje su sreli (ista relacija, bus je bio u povratku iz Beograda a mi na putu za Beograd). Pakao od putovanja!

More contact with passengers would be nice. We got to Sarajevo relatively quickly, despite the traffic accident that happened on the way. 10km after the border between Serbia and B&H our bus stopped for more than 3 hours because of a tipped over truck in front of us. While we were waiting, the bus driver wasn't communicating with us at all. They didn't tell us what happened, didn't ask how people feel or if anyone needs water or food. A lady that was sitting near me had a rough time as she was already in transit for more 6 hours, and didn't have water. I shared some with her, but I think in cases like this the transfer company should offer some help to the passengers, as there were elderly people on the bus, that might have need to go to the toilet or what not. But no one even asked, if any of the passengers needed help.

Mehr Kosten und längere Dauer als angegeben. 1. Der Bus war sehr pünktlich. 2. Aufgrund des Tickets war es einfach, die Abfahrtstelle herauszufinden. 1. Die angegebene Fahrtdauer hat nicht gestimmt. Der Bus sollte 15:32 ankommen. Er war allerdings 1,5 Stunden später noch nicht in Sarajevo. 2. Die angegebene Haltestelle war nicht eindeutig. Der Bus hielt in der Nähe des Flughafens statt im Stadtzentrum. Dies hat uns 20 Euro zusätzlich Taxikosten verursacht. Alles in allem: Deutlich teurer und später.

Imajuci kartu morala sam stajati u autobusu. 1. Na stanicu mog polaska (Višegrad) autobus je stigao sa zakašnjenjem od 15 minuta. Na stanici ga je čekalo oko 6 putnika, uključujući i mene. Svi ti putnici, osim mene, nisu imali karte. Vozač im je rekao da se mogu voziti samo stojeći. Kad sam ja došla na red i pokazala kartu - isto je i meni rekao. Pitao me da li idem ili ne, na šta sam mu odgovorila da nemam izbora, stranac sam, ovdje u prolazu, kartu sam rezervirala 3 dana unaprijed i nemam smještaj u Višegradu. Kao rezultat toga, pola puta sam morala stajati u autobusu dok mi jedan od putnika, kojem sam jako zahvalna, nije ustupio mjesto.

Vise od 10 godina nisam koristila autobus na ovoj relaciji. Razlika je ogromna u pozitivnom smislu. Bez kasnjenja, bez nepotrebnog zadrzavanja i sl. Vrlo profesionalno u mnogim relacijama. Prijatna voznja i sigurna. Bez muzike po licnom izboru, koja vam probija mozak. Sve umjereno i sa ukusom. Vozači i kondukteri susretljivi i od pomoći. Mogućnost kupovine karata “online” je za svaku pohvalu, kao i stranica vaša i sve informacije…. Većina držača za noge ispred sjedista ne funkcioniše. Na duzim relacijama je to vazan dio komfora i korist u putu Nažalost, autobuske stanice, tamosnji standardi, osoblje, naročito WC i higijena su katastrofalni. Nema veze sa prevoznikom Aroma, niti je vaša odgovornost, ali mozda bi bilo od koristi da im se skrene paznja i prenese mišljenje gradskih putnika.

Compared to other bus services we have used, Aroma is a no nonsense good option to travel with. The staff can is likewise no nonsense but they are friendly as well. The bus was a bit overcrowded, but most of the long distance travellers had a seat. A little cleaning of the windows would have been nice.
