Lucas SWe booked the (slightly more expensive) van option specifically because on a previous trip to Cat Ba, the van had driven straight onto the ferry and we could stay inside the vehicle the whole crossing. Since it was pouring rain, we wanted to avoid getting wet this time — but that's not what happened.
At the ferry terminal, we were suddenly told to get out and board a speedboat instead, which took us across separately from the van. On the other side, we had to walk through the rain again and then wait about 15 minutes for the next van to pick us up. None of this was mentioned at booking, and it was especially frustrating given the weather.
In Hanoi, we were just dropped off at the travel agency office instead of getting the hotel transfer we had booked. We had to ask the staff ourselves about what happened to it. To their credit, the staff were very friendly and immediately called a taxi for us and covered the cost.
The van itself was comfortable and picked us up on time, and the staff handled the mix-up well once we raised it — but the booking should be clearer about the ferry crossing not being included as advertised, especially since that was the whole reason we paid extra.

Jason WPicked up from our accommodation and brought to where our bus departed, we were pleasantly surprised to travel on a sleeper bus where we could lie down. Nice and convenient not having to get off the bus when crossing over on the ferry.

Enora HThe bus was nice and the staff was great. But when I booked I chose to be dropped off at my hotel in Hanoï and unfortunately they said that this was not possible and that the office won’t change it on the website. I took this ride especially because I wanted to be dropped off at my hotel, but instead I had to walk. False information!

Franziska The first bus at the Island was a disaster. It was raining pretty bad and it rained into the bus. Additionally, my backpack got soaked and I was scared about my electronics! You nearly drowned my laptop...
But after that the speed boat was okay and the bus for the long ride was really nice and comfortable! Staff were really nice though.

Gemma DCommunication was good and staff were helpful with WhatsApp messages etc. The coach was due to leave at 1130am, arrive at 3pm. We eventually left town at 1pm and arrived at 630pm. I have no idea why they spent 90 mins collecting people from hotels which were all within a 10 min walk to the depot to delay the journey 90 minutes. The delay caused us to get caught in horrendous traffic which we’d have missed had we departed as expected.
Booking confirmation does in fairness say there could be a 5 hour variance in the times published and actual times but given this was only a short journey I hadn’t expected it.
There also wasn’t enough seats on the coach so had to sit on the guides seat at the front whilst he sat in the aisle or the coach.
Furthermore, as with all companies, it appears they post a nice photo of a luxury bus/coach, only to find what turns up is an old knacker. This isn’t however exclusive to Good Morning.
