The ferry was on time and so too was the bus transfer. It was a bit disappointing though to be dropped off on some side street and then offered (by a Seatran employee) a cab ride to our hotel for THB 100 per person to go 3 blocks.

The boat was okay. There wasn’t many seats on the outside upper deck so we had to seat inside. The boat was going fast which is okay but it made it tilt quite a lot and frequently. The bus ride on the other hand went smoothly. You even get a 10-15min stop half way from Donsak pier to Krabi at a 7-eleven.

The transfer included transport with a ferry and a van. On the ferry nobody informed us about luggage transfer where they take your luggage to the ferry and bring it to you when you arrive. Instead, we had to carry our luggage by ourselves to the deck through some narrow and very steep stairs, and we had to carry it again when we were leaving the ferry. When the van picked us up, there was no space in the very small trunk for all the passengers' luggage so we had to keep our luggage in front of our legs during the ride, so the ride was uncomfortable. The driver was rude sometimes and he wasn't planning to make a toilet break until somebody asked him, then he made a 5 minutes break and hurried everybody to return to the van. Our Surat Thani to Koh Samui ride with the same company was great, but this ride from Koh Samui to Krabi was a negative experience.

Songserm will take you on a massive detour! We used this company Koh Samui, Sura Thani then Krabi. Picking up from the hotel was a breeze but the problem began from the hour and half waiting time at the port waiting for the ferry to arrive to take us to Sura Thani! Then it seems they over booked on the coaches as they wanted us to be squeezed with other people on a sofa at the front of the coach with no sit belts! So as we refused we went on another alocated coach towards Krabi however after an hours journey we all got forced out of the coach in the middle of an unknown town and got taken to an office, without even an explanation (their English was poor) 14 of us then got crammed into a mini bus with luggage squeezed in all the unknown spaces possible and arrived at Krabi 2 HOURS LATER! we were supposed to be at Krabi at 7pm but arrived at 9pm. This is another way for them to make money as they will then try to over charge everyone extra to be dropped off at a move convenient location.

The office at Nathon pier is not at the port. It’s about 10’ and it’s nowhere written that. Not so good organization.

Lomprayah’s usual high standard & efficiency. Arrived at my destination with no problems, even transferred to my hotel from Lomprayah’s terminus for an extra 100 Bhat ????

It was unbelievable the way they organized our trip. We departed from the hotel in Samui and the driver left us in a bus station in the island. There we took a van to the ferry and after the ferry a big bus. Everything was going well till the bus stopped in a restaurant in Surat Thani and told we should get out of the bus to wait another bus to Krabi. After about 30 min we took the bus which would take us to Krabi Sea Pearl, but actually took us to another restaurant where we would take a final transfer to the hotel. I arrived with a delay of 2 hours. I don't recommend this company, there are others I think are better.

The ferry was on time and that's about it. Then we had to wait for another ferry to arrive at Donsak, first just standing around in the sun for approx 20mins, then all loaded onto a small minivan ... then after 20mins wait we were told to change to a bigger bus. That other ferry had still not arrived. We were dropped on the side of the road (clearly that bus was enroute elsewhere) and had to wait for another 30mins and were loaded into a small van. Further transfers were offered at the other end for additional services which I at first declined and then had to purchase anyway as we were not dropped at the Krabi bus terminal but an affiliated agency somewhere well away from the bus stand and Krabi Town. Then we were switched to a songthaew. We finally arrived 4 hours after the scheduled arrival time. Very disorganised and not at all concerned about running so late compared to their schedule right from the outset.

Smooth. Although I was not told I would have a complimentary trip to our hotel and I paid 800 Baht for our hotel to collect us from the bus stop. This became apparent as we arrived at the depot..
