I had to go to a ticket office down the road from the pier to check in, even though I had an email confirmation. We waited at the sign for Samui but missed our boat because it left from a different location on the pier which was not labeled and we did not see staff to ask for help.

There was some wind so the boat was about 20 minutes late. The young captain put all 3 engines on full blast throughout the crossing. Probably more concerned about speed than about passenger's comfort ?
My suitcase was damaged and one of its wheels lost its rubber padding.
Apart from that Lomprayah personnel is polite , helpful and efficient.

Speedboat was precisely on time. Helpful crew organized the boarding and the swift captain brought us to Maenam in only 19 minutes. There was medium wind and a few tough waves. Everything OK but I am not sea-sick or boat afraid. Maybe different for other passengers ?
Will do it again if necessary.

Have used 12Go many times to book transport and I always find it so useful - easy to find the most suitable option.
The trip itself went really smoothly - easy to collect my ticket at the pier, board the ferry and then find my transport to the hotel.

The transfer by ferry and the shared shuttle bus to our hotel worked very well.
However, the ferry is pretty old and they don’t help you with your suitcases - so be prepared to keep your bags by your side all the time!

For Thailand it's fine and our trip was on time with no issues. Yes maybe they could do better with organization but you have to go into this being flexible and account for possible delays

Ferry departed 1.5 hours late. No announcements or information. About 400 people all waiting for 3 different ferries that depart at the same time. No organisation whatsoever. Ultimately did get me from A to B but I strongly advise to pay the extra few dollars and go with a proper company like lomprayah

Took a slightly cheaper option across to Thong Pier, but so pleased that we paid a bit extra to come back. The whole process was quick and slick on a very busy day. Highly recomend Seatran and the Express ferry

The boat was few minutes late, but I didn’t mind it. It was big enough boat for staying really stable which was my biggest priority after Lomprayah speedboat bouncing hell and epic sea sickness..! There was a lot of room also!

The first part or the trip which is ferry was fine but as we booked the trip with hotel transfer, we also had taxi trip. The driver was quite disgusting. We saw him deliberately throwing away plastic on the street which is horrible. Only moments ago we saw people collecting the rubbish around the island and there are people like him who don't care at all! He also was disgusting waving the tip box in front of everyone's faces. He also chew very loud during the whole trip to make it worse.

My boat was delayed leaving, but apart from that it was comfortable and well air-conditioned. As others have said, the transfer van was waiting as soon as I arrived so this was very efficient. I am giving 4 stars instead of 5 because I think it would also be good if you could pay for end to end journey including pick-up from where you are staying, as finding a taxi was stressful.
